Thursday Laugh

Having read the original comment, i can't see where the mistake is JPB.

It could be construed that the flasher was considering going to bed as G&S has pointed out. In a totally separate statement, his decision to stick "it" out for one more year is confirmed.

That interpretation somewhat spoils the joke but, wasn't that your intention too?

It's a joke, therefore it doesn't have to be correct as such. Ffs people like to show others how brainy they are by pointless arguments, but actually it just makes you look like a tard!!

Can't everyone just be civil?!

eh ?

well, lets try that then :

"Did you hear about the flasher who was thinking of going to bed ?

He decided to stick it out for one more year!"

What does that mean ??

=================

it has to be more correct than that.

example

"myself and my wife have been on holiday to the caribbean"

"jamaica ?"

"no, she went of her own accord"

this is a good joke. what is clear to the recipient of the joke is that the joke concerns a misunderstanding which has occurred due to the one party's sloppy pronounciation.

in this instance, unlike the statement in this article, if the word "jamaica" is replaced by "did you make her", then the conversation still makes perfect sense.

the equivelant in the statement contained in the article, would be to replace the phrase "stick it out" with the phrase "carry on flashing".

unlike the jamaica joke however, neither the amended text nor the original text make sense for the reasons which i have outlined.

tbh it wouldnt surprise me if a dead parrot could point out that the joke doesn't make sense.
