But who will replace him??? one of the 7 homegrown wigan trained superleague experianced back rows no doubt
Ruddy Wigan not giving these aussie imports a chance
Hoffman is the type of player every clubs wishes they had at least one of.....nothing sharp or special about him, simply does his job and then some without the fuss or any of the accolades from the press.
Chances are you wouldn't swap him once you knew his work rate for any other 2nd rower in the game really..
Guys immense reminds me of david furner used to play for Leeds just awesome but in a way not obvious, tremendous work rate, tackle execution and reader of the game, big loss to Wigan
Cracking player, nothing flash but hit the ground running when he arrived. Get the feeling he never really wanted to leave Melbourne but was promised a good deal back home if he came here for a year while they sorted themselves out.
If only we had a second rower to replace him at the club!
He speaks well of his time with Wigan but obviously always a Storm player at heart.
remember the first game i saw him play live and he was stood next to Lima and i couldnt get over how much bigger he was than him! The guy is a beast!
done a great job for Wigan but both club and player must have expected this when he signed, wigans strongest position for local players and Hocks return during his contract ment very unlikly that wigan would pay him what he's worth when his contract was up as the money should be spent elsewhere, really glad the salery cap increase has ment he can return to the club he obviously has affection for and very impressed with his attidute and performances so far
