Selassie is absolutely crap.
Jenkinson has done quite well for the games hes played and if you take into account the jump in standard of football to join us he has done exceptionally well.
In fact I trust Jenkinson to do a good job far more than I think this OP knows about football development.

Just don't think he has the quality to play for us YET, I think a loan would be best for him so he could develop abit more
Also he wouldn't get the game time at arsenal once Sagna is back, we could do with a versatile defender who's capable of playing in many places

The prospect of having Jenkinson @RB for the first two games is frightening, would prefer playing Coquelin or even Yennaris.

Also think that the Yanga-Mbiwa rumour is dead now, we would most definitely have been in contact w/ his club over him if we considered signing him.
They turned down an 'insulting' 6 M bid from AC Milan for Mapou.
I think Coquelin will do a decent job as RB. Jenkinson is not ready for the EPL yet and I actually doubt that he ever will become a first choice right back at Arsenal. It is ridiculous to read that an Czech international is labeled crap while others suggest Jenkinson is a good player.

He can cross extremely well but that is about it
Isn't exactly the fastest of players
So It would be wise sending him on loan
Not relying on him as back-up too much
Which could kill his career
