He's right though, people were saying £30m was too much as it is but PSG paying 45m euro's was just unbelievable.

I have always thought Ronaldo's £80m was the craziest of them all, coz I still don't believe even Messi is worth that much.
Fergie looks at a players value and decides if he's bidding enough or not, basically he works out if the player has potential to have a great re-sale value. He might have thought 30m was enough to get Moura, nurture him and sell him for double the amount as he grows ala Ronaldo.
I think any footballers wage and transfers that are more than a Doctor/Soldier/Police Officer wage is crazy
He's not right at all. I had so much respect for him but today some of his quotes have been appalling. He spent around 35 million euros on Rooney around 6 years ago, 20 + euros on Phil Jones etc etc. Why does he find it hard to believe that PSG would spend 45 million on a player with amazing potential?

"History shows that fergie has never had a problem paying ridiculous sums for young players... frankly, he is just being bitter over this teenager thing"
-------------------------------------------
Fergie paid £25.6m for18-yr old Rooney 8 years ago, which on today's prices is not too far off from Moura's 45m euros. The man contradicts himself.
I thought the £30m we offered them for Lucas was staggering for such an unknown quantity, obviously Fergie and his scouts have done their research. Fergie spent £26m on Rooney but I don't think anyone questioned that at the time, probably because everyone could see his ability week in week out.
Regards RVP, I think fergie is just saying he doesn't know whats happening with Arsenal...It's more than conceivable that fergie has F all to do with the negotiations and was asked a question
I remain convinced that Juve and Man City had better chance of signing RvP, and if they have now given up and dropped out there is no chance of Man U getting him. There is no denying that Wenger would rather sell a quality player to clubs other than Man U, esp as in this case RvP has not even handed in a transfer request.
Well, it's logic that you don't sell your best weapons to the enemy, but good business is good business....'tain't looking good for uUnited in the transfer market...BUT in most scenarios, this is what you call the black moment, and suddenly everything works out fine and everyone is surprised at the denourment.

Without taking into the context that the economy was much different then. 45million Euros today is not equal to 45million euros then and same goes for pounds.
And all managers contradicts themselves and are hypocrites.
