As much as I hate Leeds - and I do really, really hate them, maybe more than Derby and Man Utd - I actually can't help feeling really sorry for their fans. They've got a passionate following and Bates is a complete ring piece - they've been unlucky with this really

They started due diligence about 2 months ago. They must of opened a right can of worms.
So Bates can't sell. Bates won't invest so Leeds chances of promotion are slim at best.
Yeh...funny. Reminds me of this one....
Billy Bremner walks into a pub.
The landlord says 'A pint of your usual, Billy?'
Bremner replies 'No, just a half, then I'm off'
Makes you realise how blessed we've been.
Thing is lads you've jumped the gun..takeover isn't actually off.
Anyway enjoy your "second best keeper in the world" from Kuwait

Gormless post. BBC aren't quite up to date mate. Period of exclusivity ended, talks ongoing, other intrested groups can come forward

Something didn't seem right with the Leeds takeover. I think the fact that during the entire 'due diligence' process, it seemed a case of business as usual. Players were being sold, brought, contracts offered etc, and fans of any club that has experienced a take over will know that it's normal procedure to put a temporary embargo in place on such matters. I have family who are Leeds Utd fans, and I would like to offer words of sympathy that might provide some sort of comfort in their hour of darkness...........but I can't think of any..........Mwaaaahaaaaaaaahaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaahaaaa.
Oh dear, lay off the sauce, Igor.
We have another expert, lay of the sauce, which one OR, tomato, brown, bbq, oh please tell which one .
DE - The deal is over, if it wasn't then it would of been concluded during the exclusivity period. Any other prospective buyer will hit the same obstacles. The facts are that Leeds are a long long way from having new owners and you are stuck with Ken.
Stuck with Ken ... and a squad with an average age of 42

DE - The fact that they let the exclusivity expire means it's off. You don't have to be Sir alan Sugar to know that. Leeds granted exclusivity, they would only do that if they where close to finalising the deal. I don't confess to know what your potential suitors found in the books but it obviously wasn't good.
