Very good player at this level.
Would be a spot on signing.

Injured most of last year, however.

He is 27, At least SG is going 3 years younger now..

Didn't he play in defense for the enterprise under JLP?

Sammy Clingan would be a good signing.Brown and Clingan would give us a bad ass midfield, something we have been lacking.

Sounds impressive. Let's hope it happens!

Good call Belfast White. He would be bad ass! In fact, he photo on SS looks this way!

Forest fan in peace. Clingan was disctinctly average for us and that was at League 1 level. He doesn't make too many mistakes and works hard but his passing goes sideways and he has little pace to speak of.

Jack of all trades sums him up perfectly. He's not bad to have in a squad and you've got some decent centre mids, unless this means you're selling one or two?

Not the standard we should be looking for.

We already have, Johnson and Kilkenny left ages ago. And yes our CMs are great, but they're too attack minded. Until we signed Brown, there was no one who could hold the midfield together and give the defence extra support, so Clingan would be good for us.

TallAndUseless - on the money for me. We have the creative sparks in Howson, Snoddy, Gradel, Nunez etc. We do need the guys who can put their foot on the ball and dictate play like Graham Kavanagh has always done when he was playing. He made the game look simple.

Notice, SG mentioned this about how Brown played against Falkirk. He didn't give the ball away. I play football myself and it is very difficult to play against players who have that attribute even if they are average at things such as speed, shooting.

Jonty - yes but my agent said Bates told us to do one and multiply when we went back to accept terms. I have instead been promised a role as Front of House Supervisor when the new hotel opens.

Carlos - I forgot you were on here!! Nah, not a direct reference to you!

I wouldn't say great but anyway he's hardly a defensive midfielder he's just an average central midfielder. He did have a good game when he had to play in defence once but otherwise didn't really break up play.

The article says

Leeds United's assistant manager Glynn Snodin knows all about Clingan's ability having assisted Northern Ireland head coach Nigel Worthington in the summer of 2007.

And he's only 27.

That says it all doesn't it?

The club seem happy with him. If they go for him let's see what he's made of before we discount him.

MOT!

Listen Otely, I think you're being far too greedy.

Tell you what, why don't you pay us to play!

Just heard from a lad that plays for Coventry, he is a young player that isnt in the first team.

What he had to say is......

He is quality, the best player at the club.
but then goes on to say he doubts he is going anywhere!

Sounds promising if we can sign him, but he has just been made captain and it doesnt sound like he will be coming
