25m is a bit more realistic.
Lets take it with a pinch of salt. No way Levy would refuse 35mn and then suddenly accept 25mn. There must be addons. Plus the original bid must have been in Euros.
From our stand point, hope this means we get Sahin
Lose a 15mil net gain for selling to Madrid rather than us, lose a 40mil pay packet with Modric to us without Modric.
Fantastic business nous by Levy
Then again saying that, all the successes or failure of their current manager can be squarely attributed to us (the funding and the crash course in England) when the story unfolds. So we've not really got a leg to stand on here

==========
It seems strange that 25m is being reported especially after like you say 35m seems to have been the asking price
It was worth it for them to have kept him last year
they finished 4th
Indeed blueblood. Maybe its 25mn plus player exchange
Didn't Sahin reject Spurs?
It was worth it for them to have kept him last year

I've had this debate before.
For all intensive purposes we finished 4th last year and Spurs finished 6th. His decision was TOTALLY dependant on Spurs getting that CL qualification money, they didn't ...... argo, bad decision. End of.
Yeah Sahin rejected them twice according to media. Maybe it is some other player (Callejon/Granero)
Indeed blueblood. Maybe its 25mn plus player exchange

Not so far reported, but who knows.
Granero is a quality player and it's a sin that he hardly plays at Madrid, but with their midfield it's understandable.
Callejon is quality too!
Fred weren't you guys linked to Granero in the past few seasons?
if true then, I believe Levy could be doing the right thing...... This deal is far less likely to come back and bite him in the beHIND, than selling to Chelsea...................
Unless of course Madrid finish 3rd in their Champions League group
Cereal Spiller
We were but like 99% of rumours it was rubbish. Would love to sign him though.
Well lets see. Levy generally gets great value from his players, so would be surprising if Modric goes "cheap"
It is £25M+ add ons worth up to £8M. I called Modric leaving for United at the start of the Summer for £32M. Got the club wrong but I knew the fee would be a massive hit on what Chelsea offered last Summer. He's not even worth this reported fee that has been agreed with Real.
I am surprised United isn't putting a bid in for Modric. They could really do with a similar player
How funny would it be if he struggles for playing time at Madrid and we get him for £15m next summer <rof>
Agent Jose
all spurs fans would take less money and to sell him to someone outside the Prem. Selling to other clubs vying for a CL place is just plain stupid

Spurs fans might, but I doubt your board would.

And you were wrong then just as you are now
25m is a fair price for Modric, even more so for a player that wants to leave that bucket shop of a football club, so Spurs should rip Madrid's arm off.
And you were wrong then just as you are now
---------------------------------------------------------------------
And just as redconn pointed out in a now appropriate way relating to you. Course you're right, they finished 4th ........................ we got the 4th place prize, but lets not have lil facts like that get in the way
Wow blueblood35, you are being consistent aren't you?
