It hasn't been good has it. Lets see how we fair with our first team eh, just think a decent point at Cardiff and this time next week we will be looking forward to our Championship home coming!
We did warn you about grayson
take 5 players, who would have started the game, from any team in any league and you will end up with a similar result..
we are a championship side and the same as any other championship side....the squads are just not that strong..
given that preston were also allowed to kick the sh-t out of us , we did well not to get more than one player booked..
no one seemed badly injured on the town side so thats a bonus from this game.. 14 late challenges??? 2 bookings for preston??? 5 kicking the ball away, no bookings..
one bloke took 4 minutes to go off and be substitued???
mr westley and his team will get a ref this season and it will go very badly t-ts up for them..
we started badly and never got going..no excuses on that score.. we should have scored 2/3 in the second half, poor attempts after decent build ups.. town fans made it a decent enough crowd.. preston owe us for that at least..
I went along to the Open Day today, and amongst the players on view, quite a number of whom I didn’t recognise, there was a small, dark-skinned lad with long frizzy hair, who looked quite useful. In the kick around, he played deep but sprayed out some very useful passes. He was nippy, and no slouch at defending. I got the impression he could read a game, and thought that he might possibly be the playmaker some of us crave. I did wonder if maybe he had got locked in the loo after the Barcelona B game, and missed the team bus when it departed the (latest name) stadium.
I have tried to find him on the Town website, but it’s about as much use as mudguards on a tortoise!
Can anyone enlighten me... on this subject I mean.
dubbin..
if he plays deep along with everyone else there would be no one to spray any pases to..
cant help you with a name..
just before half time last night a town player touched the ball, i thought, "i dont know who that is", it was keith southern his first meaningfull touch of the ball.. we , again have a sh-t load of midfield players, none of which so far appear to be able to find space, control the ball, play a forward pass and then move forward to support the ball..
suppose if we get another 5/6 in we will finally find one.. we found higgy but they dont seem to want to let him actually play in any games.. holding midfield players we have in spades..
