Trilby

I'm not sure if i'm going bald or not. I had really long hair between the ages of 14 and 17 then got it all shaved off for charity and everyone tells (mocks) me that my hairline has receded.

The only thing that has receded is my respect for such cretins.

I do think that shaving your head accelerates hair loss - at least in hot climates, perhaps because the follicles are more exposed.

As always, La Liga thread throwing up some of the most fascinating debates on 606.

They can feel free to ban us.....it's hair loss.

Shaving has no effect on hair growth - neither the thickness or rate of growth.

Wearing a hat in the summer can be a hassle though.

I am not postulating that it is the act of shaving it, but of the exposure of Caucasian males' hair follicles to certain extreme weather conditions. My observations cannot be considered empirical, but I am a keen observer and do not rule out carrying out a double-blind retrospective study on the matter one day to try and corroborate this theory.

Quite paradoxically, I have noticed that constant exposure to hot, humid climates in Caucasian males stimulates hair growth on other parts of the body, such as the back.

I think this could be a natural bodily reaction, although the response is contrary to the consequences of the excess exposure of head follicles. I can but surmise that different follicles react differently.

An alternative, revolutionary theory is that hair follicles actually have the capacity to migrate within the same body system.

IOAG, interesting hypotheses though one which i doubt very much.

Follicles might indeed migrate. As i am quite hairy, my beard is thick and lustrous and hair is evenly spread over my body but on my head...well

I did specify "males".

I think IOAG when talking about caucasian males with scant head hair and copious body hair being caused by a hot climate was referring in particular to...
greeks !

Copa Del Rey :

Osasuna 2 - 0 Sporting Gijon
Rayo Vallecano 0 - 0 Las Palmas
Real Betis 3 - 0 Valladolid
Real Sociedad 2 - 2 Cordoba
Malaga 0 - 1 Cacereno
Real Madrid 3 - 0 Alcoyano

Malaga shocked by third tier Martin Caceres. Real Madrid required 3 late goals and a sending off to take the advantage against Alpro Soya.

Palms got a commendable draw away to Rayo and Ivan Cordoba matched a whole La Liga team on his own away from home.

Tonight's fixtures :

Atletico Madrid ? - ? Real Jaen
Getafe ? - ? Ponferradina
Levante ? - ? Melilla
Valencia ? - ? Llagostera
Barcelona ? - ? Deportivo Alaves
Espanyol ? - ? Sevilla

Standout tie is probably Ethpanyol v Seveeeya but Barca against A Deportivo Slave should be fun. Melilla sounds like a woman, and i don't know how to pronounce Real Jaen

jaen is pronounced like "Hi, en"
