Fergie will never ever do anything like this if Utd were in our trophyless/financial predicament. He has too much common sense not to.
__________
Cant help but agree with this.. Fergie would never do the same if he were in Arsene's shoes.
United is appearently the only option.
Fergie would tell you to fack off and send him on the first plane abroad, like he did with Heinze.
Your manager would be mad to even consider it.
To save the arguing, we will give you Ki and 500K for him. If you could pass it on to Arsene and let me know what he said.
Cheers
Honestly gunnerthru, I hope it happens, but you've made good signings this summer, and selling RVP to us would undo alot of the good work IMO.
I'm perplexed why he isn't hot property, no one really wants him, do you think his statement backfired on him?
Agree with you Ruiney. I think to that if we lose VP we would make two step back.
no one really wants him.
Maybe the £220,000 per week is a problem?
It's only really in England where the top clubs don't consistently swap/transfer players between top clubs. If you look at the likes of Italy it happens all the time. Whilst there is every possibility RVP will improve United there's no guarentees. Also who is to say getting in 20 million and spending it on other player(s) might not make Arsenal a better team? From a united fans perspective we all wept when RvN left as he scored all our goals but we won 3 titles on the trot after he left as others come into the limelight. I think there is some silly posturing and ego protection going on. All very short term!!
He has made his choice where he wants to go. He told Juve and City bluntly.
may as well sell him to Utd if that's the only viable option. if not you only prolong the situation as he can sign for them in January, ring in sick for 6 months and then go on a free in the summer.
If they want him and he wants to go it will happen. worst case for them is next summer.
might as well get 20+ million for him and let it happen.
he will take up a table in their treatment room shortly anyway.
Maybe the £220,000 per week is a problem?

oh yeah, i forgot about that!
These players are bleeding us dry!
are man Utd even bidding up to £20million?
Everyone seems to think that he will cost that much but it doesn't seem clubs are bidding that much!
Honest question but can manU really afford him?
£220K/week
Cant help but agree with this.. Fergie would never do the same if he were in Arsene's shoes.

Does it make any sense having a player who was injured for more than half of his 8 yr stay at your club, and just when he seems to have gotten a bit of fitness you then sell him to your close rivals???
Tbh that is the height of stupidity

think about it mate!...... Arsenal only hold the cards for a short time, Arsenal cannot stop him going to Utd if he wants to, they cannot force him to join anyone else and he can sign with whoever he wants in january
its not a case of Arsenal wanting to sell him, they pretty much have to, and it looks like that Utd are the only team making an offer.
Lucas is pretty much spot on.
Who else does the OP suggest we sell him to?
At the moment there is seemingly just the one taker.
I don't think he can sign for them in January. Premier league players can only sign pre contract with foreign clubs right? If United doesn't buy him now, they can only offer him a contract one month before his contract expires, while foreign clubs can offer him a contract as early as January. Knowing RVP's injury issues, he could be tempted to sign a pre contract as early as January if he wants the best deal for himself. I'm guessing this is why Fergie is going apopleptic at Arsenal's refusal to make things easy.

I can see why RVP wants to get out now, how high will his stock be next summer?
He won't be getting £200k a week offers as he won't be the one man army he was last season.
Agree ghost. What I mean is the urgency shown by Utd, not the urgency shown by RVP
Wenger should stand firm and not let these Merc plays Bully him around if they are under contract and one of your rivals want them and nobody else stand firm and make them see out their remmaining contracts if a team abroad wants them and put up the money then sell them but what ever u do dont sell to your rivals cos after all they would not sell to you.
