I will absolutely guarantee (I know, I can't really) that Jordan Rhodes will hardly score any goals this year?

I am also confident that N'Gog will score more than him and also be a more valuable player to us. N'Gogs game is much more complete than Rhodes. He also has prem experience, whereas Rhodes only has division 1 experience.

No deal.

Would you rather a striker with no Premier League experience or one that flopped?

Not sure i would either JAH - i think Ngog has something to offer at this level, and if i remember rightly, one of Ngogs best games for us was when we played everton, and we played 4-5-1, so i dont actually think his ability is too questionable, more how our manager chooses to play him

One that flopped, rather than one that's going to.

Deal Tez. Now just send a fax to Bolton Central FAO Mr P Gartside - get him to put the fax in his pocket and we'll send the cheque in tomorrows post!

Why on earth would Jordan Rhodes swap one championship club with another one?

I said that when he was linked with Blackburn and I still hold this opinion.

I think that he may think that we are a more established club with a better chance of getting promoted.

Is he worth 7 million? No. Quite simply he is untested in a higher division. Mallorca said he was worth about 5 million, just his valuation and I think probably nearer the mark.

If we could sign him for five, would I take him? Yes, I think he would definitely be worth the risk.

That makes no sense have you been drinking?

I have the same problem when I drink

I do too

I'd rather take a player who hasn't flopped yet, since you know, there's actually a chance he won't.

Why would a lad who's scored a shed load in the third tier be a good signing?

We'll be in the prem in 12 months and that's too far a jump for him.

Ngog, Ob1, Sordell & SKD should absolutely tear this division apart!!! CYL, Wylde, Eagles & Petrov smashing balls into the box!!!!!!

Sign the Rock or a defensive midfielder this week & I'll put money on it..!!

An average manager would get this squad promoted!

Hopefully

How do you think Rickie Lambert will do for Southampton? Others have done it. Even if Ngog does well in the championship what's the point if he is no good in the Premier League. At least with Rhodes no one knows (well apart from Rowbot)

The point is we will go up - all that matters this season.
Next season, who knows. He may be sold, he may stay. Let's get through the next 12 months before we start worrying about how our players may or may not fare in the Prem.

Thought you backed Owen Coyle plan for the future and all that?

If Ngog gets us up it's worth a lot of money... Talent would suggest he can cut it in the championship..

Rhodes would cost a lot of money in wages and fees.. Unless Ngog asks for a move, he'll need paying up... At a loss!

Plus there's a bedding in period.. We've already got OB1 doing that.. And Sordell to an extent... Not another new striker..

Personally I'd get Klansic on the cheap. Pis$ this league with his finishing. 12 month deal...

Also if he flops again this season we wont be able to give him away

May make up for the money his lack of goals cost us last season

Has Klasnic not got another club then?.I think your idea is a good one,he would the twenty goals we need from a striker in this league.Could we get him on the cheap? worth a phone call I agree.
Still think this league will be harder than you think though.

I enjoy the Championship, and I took a big interest in the season Newcastle went up. The way they did it was simple... Score goals and be powerful in midfield.

We can print in the press how we respect our opposition etc etc blah blah blah... But we need to head to these teams with confidence and knowledge we have the quality.. Spend 20 minutes toe to toe with them, then flick the wrist, turn up the power and bang...

White Hot Boys...

Coming to a $hit Hole near you!!!

Fair enough but midfield is not really that strong is it?.Its one of the main reasons we went down,it was Pi** poor and too lightweight. And before people remind me,Im quite aware we had injuries but we still lacked any real shape or organisation in the moddle of the park.
Newcastle had Barton,Nolan and had Carroll knockin ten tons of $h1te out of defenders. They also had 50 thousand fans each home game,we will avearge what 14 thousand.
Who do you think can impose themselves on the opposition?,Sixth place for me pal, hope Im wrong.
