WUMs are the heart and soul of 606.

WUMs are the pock marks on the face of intelligent discussion.

WUMs are the cherry on the 606 cake.

WUM's ruined 606. Left it a minefield where only the WUM's were left. It was either leave the site on join them in their arguments. Many of the more intelligent poster left.

Put simply if WUM's are allowed on here, there will be the same posters everytime, who were be arguing about the same things everytime, on every thread. People don't want to sift through articles to find something worthwhile to read. It is tiring.

I joined a football forum because i wanted to discuss football, not to read the inane ramblings of morons. Most of the time they're not even original, they just repeat every tabloid stereotype over and over again.
they're like the writers of family guy, who seem to think if you repeat something unfunny over and over again it makes it funny. it doesn't.

I joined up here for a bit of banter with out the BBC WUM crew. As touched up on by the OP, rivalries require some wind ups, in good faith, yet non entities can quite happily destroy decent topics with their incesant cr*p.
Keep it smart and witty and I see no problem in a light hearted wind up. My opinion only of course.

Anyway, if you just want to talk about football, why join this site? There are hundreds of them out there, virtually WUM-free. Each club has its own forums, which don't have fans of other clubs swarming over them when the team loses.

For me 606 always offered something different. Some of the WUMs are stupid and annoying, but some are utterly hilarious, as are some of the responses to them.

Come on Guys. The way to beat WUM'S is simply to ignore them and when the get no reaction they will go away. Trust me.

Although i am an Arsenal fan, i am first and foremost a football fan. I like talking football with fans of various different clubs.

The trouble is every wum seems to think he's original, when he's just coming up with the same claptrap a hundred others will have done before. It's dull, repetitive and cack. much like family guy

Sure there is the odd funny one, but they are so few and far between that they fail to raise the average level to even 'mildly tedious' Also, you'll get one who makes you laugh with an article, but that will then kick off about 10 completely unfunny retaliataory posts.

Is that hard to grasp?

But if you start deleting things you don't like people will not post on your threads at all and the 'banter' you enjoy will be lost anyway.

Stupid comments etc are not acceptable. If I deleted every remark I didn't like, you'd be gone already.
