You guys are still not playing to his strengths even with the inclusion of all these attacking midfielders with their superb vision.

Does RDM have a set plan on how he wants the team to play?

I can just about understand the insults levelled at AVB. Under him we had a squad of players who've never respected authority, while being rigid on the pitch at the same time, but as the manager he should've been less stubborn more quickly and sacificed rather than expect the players to do it. It's like a parent dealing with a disruptive child, it's the parents obligation to find sideways avenues to get the child doing what they should be doing.

Torres on the other hand is a true victim of circumstance. Case in point, if we continue on with Mikel and Lampard playing deeper this season, we're not gunna see the best of Hazard because he'll be having to constantly drop back. Now, would that be Hazard's fault? Or the players behind him not playing quickly enough? Sometimes i do get the impression people think football is a game of individuals, so when one isn't doing what he should be (i.e. Torres isn't scoring) he must be the source of the problems. It's like putting petrol into a diesel car, and blaming the car because it's not moving.

Yet we still haven't bought a midfielder

All I'm saying is that its too early for him to think his troubles are over, although I like his positivity but if I were him I'll avoid the press for now, he could still be dropped if he goes on a goal drought again whether its its the fault of lampy or mikel it doesn't matter, Chelsea is a result oriented team and I'm sure there is an attacker out there who would flourish in our system...eg The Tevez goal, he didn't require a defence splitting pass, did he?

Tevez refuses to play. He doesn't refuse to shoot

__________

That is a good point to be honest

Aguero and Tevez can do sh|t on their own. They dont need service.

Tevez goal is the exception.

He's not going to score like that every week now.

My question again :

Does RDM have a set plan on how he wants the team to play?

They dont need service.

And why Drogba was immense in big games

____________

Most of his goals are pretty much made by himself.

Drogba was immense TCP. He's another striker who if you give the ball to him, he'l do something positive with it.

Torres gets far too much protection from Chelsea fans.

How many goals against us were handed to him on a plate?

His last to goals against us at Anfield were both recieved outside either side of the box and he still managed to find a way to score on both occasions.

Torres is a finisher. He needs the midfield to do all the work for him. He'll come up with the odd spectacular on his own but most of the time, he needs to be spoon fed.

Tevez & Aguero are both creative & clinical which is the new trend when it comes to strikers these days and basically the future of strikers

Drogba was just something else really

Leiva

We paid 50m for a striker that has to be spoon fed

posted on 16/8/12

And how many spoons does it take ?

posted on 16/8/12

We've spent 70m on a winger and two number 10s to help Torres out. So Torres has cost us 120m

posted on 16/8/12

He needs 10 other spoons feeding him constantly.

So sack the manager

and Mata 23m - Total Torres cost - £143m

Wages not included

But he won a corner

Yeah, you can thank Roman for that

Its the truth though. Torres had a very hardworking midfield behind him at Pool. Also with Kuyt next to him doing all the running around it allowed Torres the freedom to move into space and with Gerrard & Alonso picking him out he was never short of service. And not just constant service but quick releases as well because with Rafa we really pressed high up and caught defences out of shape

Still needs a midfielder and right winger to fully complete the package mr chelsea

posted on 16/8/12

We've brought Hazard, Marin, Oscar and Mata and we still dont have enough to supply Torres with goals???? This is ridiculous!!!!!!

posted on 16/8/12

And, our medical team has kept him fit for 18mths

Chelsea need a deep-lying playmaker to dictate play and help keep possession. Lampard cannot be trusted with this
