I think we moved for Assaidi because Tello did not want to leave Barcelona. They are similar players in position and style so that seems the likely connection to me.

Sahin could still happen, nobody knows really.

I still think Dempsey will happen personally, we are just leaving it late to get him at a cheaper price. Fulham won't want him to leave for nothing in a year, so will have to negotiate a bit more in the last few days of the window rather then just saying 'thats our price, pay it or do one'.

If Carroll leaves then I still think there might be another surprise signing too, otherwise it will probably just be Sahin and Dempsey, or just Dempsey, that will get us excited.

We might sign De Vries as back up keeper from Wolves if Doni/Jones or both leave.

In the same vein, I see that City are chasing Sinclair, who has refused to sign a new contract at Swansea. I have long championed his cause. JimmyTheRed

I am not convinced by Sinclair personally.

I think he is a good player, rather than a top player, and I don't see him making much of an impact in a squad of City's quality.

If he goes there he will be signing for QPR or West Ham within 2 years.
