I support the wednesday-----always have and always will. The day we die is the day I day with them!!!!!!
I'm Alan...... always have been and the day I always will be till they engrave the name on my tomb stone!!!
MERGER?-----NO WAY!!!!!! Did the blunts think of that when they mqanaged to get into the Prem????
A merger is the only way that I think a Sheffield team will ever win anything big in the next 100 years without a complete overhaul of the games finances. Sheffield does have some of the best passionate football fans but not nearly enough to support 2 sides. Englands 4th city yet look at the comparative support in Newcastle and Liverpool (2 teams) for proper passionate huge support.
It will never happen and I'd rather it didn't anyway. Here's hoping for a top 8 premiership finish and a sneaky FA cup/League cup win in the next 100 years! Got to aim big!

Yes we"ll merge, and we can have the blue stripes from our shirts and the white stripes from the blunts shirts.
Trueblue, completely agree with you there.
Brigg, I see your point but the reality is we as fans of both clubs have generally been starved of any success. If we were to finish 8th in the Prem, then we would virtually fill Hillsborough week in, week out, and that would make us an exciting proposition for potential new owners.
As for finances, a few years ago no-one would have seen Chelsea or Man City as top 4 teams either, but things do change in football. I think an overhaul of the finances will happen in the next ten years, either that or the money bubble will burst.
Also to be fair, we have really always been a second tier prem team at best throughout our history, except for a few years here and there. I would always put us in with Villa, Leeds, Spurs, Everton, Newcastle, Sunderland, and even Forest, Derby, Wolves with regards to potential. We really have never been up with Liverpool, Man U or Arsenal.
Obviously we have some work to do before we get anywhere near these heights again, but the club has the potential if it could begin to have success.
What on earth are you lot talking about?????????? A merger between our sides will not happen while there's a hole in my arias!
Where the hell do you get these things from? Put your pot pipe down and get on with some work
What special meeting? Not much annoys me - but this does. Move on - next subject.
Specials meeting??? Bet Jerry Dammers didn't turn up...mardy git....
The logistics of a merger happening are to big to comprehend, look at Liverpool and Everton they can’t get together to agree to share a stadium. So merging two teams would be nearly impossible I would think? Especially when it comes to ownership etc.
Saying this though, fundamentally how could it happen as people have said they have supported there team and gone through all the ups and downs. We now seem to be getting sorted out as a club, so having gone through what we have and then having the rug pulled would just hurt a little bit too much to get over I think.
As Kitty says - ding, next please.
it wont happen, this sort of thing gets raised every now and then.
but im with you trueblue, if it happened that would be the end of my support.
What a pointless thread. There will never be a merger. If you had more than bubble wrap inside your head, you'd know that.
And what's with all the Imre stick you give out? He might be a one off nut job, but the boards would be a duller place without him. At least he's got passion for his team.
I think TrueBlue was on the sauce yesterday, some odd postings.
In defence of trueblue, he was merely the messenger , so give him a break and if he was on the sauce.......nice one.
Is trueblue ever off the sauce?
Is trueblue ever off the sauce?

Good question
As for me giving imre some stick.....no way, he's a mate of mine! What I meant was he always comes over as being angr4y and that's what I would be if a merger ever took place!
Thanks for your comment kimmy
