About a week ago warnock said about him playing at centre half and I think warnock might see him being better there.
I think White is better in midfield than at LB, be interesting to see who gives way in the middle for him.
Thought Austin did well but he won't be able to get away every game with his strong tackles. Plenty of refs will clamp down on him, needs to control his aggression.
White had a bad game, but based on last season, he has more of a future at leftback than on the wing.

I rate him better than Lees from what I've seen. I'd prefer seeing Peltier in the centre and Byram on the right than Lees playing.

But there got to be point when he starts playing well.
He's been around four years now
Can count on one finger how many cracking games he's had
I personally believe that if Gary Mac didn't mess him around and just sent him out on loan instead of playing 2 games under him White would be a more complete player.
I don't think you can base anything on last season.
Simply horrendous. 11 defeats at home no style to our play, no hunger or desire, no team spirit.
I would go as far to say it was one of the lowest periods in our entire history!

Grayson messed him about and brought garbage after garbage loan players in, instead of giving him a run.
Loaning a player out is always the answer, and hasnt really worked for any of our players
And before you say lees, he's now played 120 games and is still way of been good enough
Macca gave White more than 2 games.
Grayson gave him nothing.
Very pleasing all round performance for me & Varney also played his part through link up play & flicks.
He wasn't great & needs to improve but he wasn't poor either.
NW doesn't carry passengers & would have had Varney off otherwise.
Thought Varney could have put us 2 nil up but his first touch let him down although, bigger & better players miss those that's bcuz their human.
Unfortunately, some people maybe looking for a scapegoat in Varney bcuz they have slated his signing from day one.
That in itself is quite sad & shameful really.

We will of course lose games so there is plenty of time for him to become the scapegoat of those who know better than NW.
Accentuating all of Varney's alleged flaws/mistakes today in an overall winning performance is case in point me thinks.
Blackpool away could be a bigger test for us- hoping the work ethic we have introduced will help us pick up the points- injuries and suspensions will take their toll and the squad is threadbare.
