I want Guardiola, think he would be far more suited to a club like ours than Mourinho would.
Guardiola or Jose please. Both have the ego and CV for the job, I can't think of anybody else. These pair will only do things on their terms, which is good for the team.
Many say give somebody like Moyes a chance, but we need a few good years following Fergies retirement and I would rather not gamble.
solskjaer for me keep it in-house
Guardiola doesn't want Chelsea or else he would have gone there this season and I truly believe that this is Sir Alex's last season, hence the RVP signing.
He just wanted one fantasy player to manage for a year and then hand the reigns of the club over to someone as high profile as Pep.
Mourinho just signed a new contract at Real so I doubt he'd leave.

Mourinho is the only manager in world football that has the personality to take over from Ferguson.
Ok so we get mourinho for 3 or 4 seasons, so ideas for jose's successor should be the question.
1) I'd prefer a more experienced manager, with a few more years left in the game.
2) makes no difference to me. Nationality should have no bearing on who we employ.
3) in an ideal situation, yes, but very unlikely to happen. Fergie will probably move upstairs anyway, so will be around to help with advice if needed.
4) having premier league experience would benefit the new manager, but if he is good enough, it's not a necessity.
5) I think this is a very important point you raise. Tactics change over time, and we should have a manager that is capable of adapting his tactics when needed. I would like to see the transfer policy and development of youth continue.
Pep
I think SAF will want to win the CL before he retires and I dont think that will be this season.
Jose. No more no less. Perfect successor.
Can't wait for the So called "real fans" here to call out Moyes.
Guardiola or Jose please. Both have the ego and CV for the job

I don't think Guardiola has anywhere near enough ego for the job. He was wrapped in a Barca bubble and still looked unsettled, at times. Plus he doesn't like to stay at a club longer than 4-5 years... We need a legacy manager. José or Moyes.
ps - I know José is a journeyman... but I think he is looking for a club to build a legacy, namely UTD.
If it weren't for Abramovich's impatience, he'd probably still be at Chelsea.
Oh well, for the record I am as real fan as any but... Moyes, Solskjaer or Guardiola would do me fine.

So you think Jose is going to stay longer than Pep? He is somebody who would fit in with our youth policy and has a little more class than Jose.
My only problem with Jose is that his win at all costs attitude sometimes leads to unprofessional antics, where as Pep is always a gentleman.
So you think Jose is going to stay longer than Pep?
--------------------
absolutly.... I think, if jose got the move to UTD, he would stay for as long as possible.
Pep just walked away from one of the best club teams ever.... he obvously isnt in it for the long haul.
I think Pep is more suited to Arsenal and Mourinho to United
I dont know if I would be happy with Moyes. I think we need a manager who has proved he can win trophies on a regular basis.
how can you prove you can win trophies on a regular basis at everton?
Why do people want Mourinho? He is a disgraceful man who goes against everything United stand for.
Poking other teams coaching staff in the eyes, calling everyone a cheat, hiding in laundry baskets to escape detection.
Pep left Barca because he needed a break and probably realised he had to prove himself elsewhere.
United is perfect for him as he coaches football the right way and all the youth players will look up to him and he'll bring a whole new style of play to the club.
Actually narrowed it down to just Moyes or Solksjaer.
i agree funrob, we are a club of principles, i would hate to see the clubs good name dragged through the mud by mourinho's antics, like i said earlier i would like to see it given to ole, yes he might be inexperienced but so was pep when he took over barcelona
