Good stats, particularly Lennon's. The Defoe stats are why we need another striker, even if that was considered a good performance by him yesterday.
Spurs attempted 371 passes in today's game, last season they averaged 514 per game

I did not know the stats but I did point out to people that we did not keep possession well and kept giving the ball away but certain posters told me how good our ball retention was yesterday.
So much for their observations with those stats available
The return of Grandspurs.
You ain't seen RRP on your off-season travels, have you.

No I have not, but to be fair Kent done a great job of the match thread yesterday
"I did not know the stats but I did point out to people that we did not keep possession well and kept giving the ball away but certain posters told me how good our ball retention was yesterday."
You need the following stats :
1. Ball lost in the tackle to the opposition
2. Passes made that went to an opposing player, or out of play.

That is because he is an RRP(2) alter-ego.
James Perch also had 100% passing.
46 actually. What was Lennon's?
Lennon efficiency 2x >> Perch.
interesting stats.
a lot of them supporting what we said that there were a lot of positives to be taken out of the game.
re the passing, we did try to knock quite a lot of quite long balls to lennon which i suspect is the reason for that stat. maybe sig or vdv in a deeper role would help that, but i still think that sandro and lviermore offered us a huge amount in terms of closing the other team down and winning possession, so i would be loath to break those two up personally, particaulrly against the more skilful teams. i drread to think what ben arfa would have done to us yesterday with a more lightweight midfield.
good stats Chet
although you would think with the extra man in midfield and the higher line we would have passed a lot more, I will admit I didnt realise our passing rate was so much lower than last season. We seemed to pass around the back alot without actually building a move, on saying that we also made some incisive longer passes to release Defoe, Bale and Lennon which were very positive.
some incisive longer passes
================
that's why the counts down, cos it was 1 mid range arial pass instead of 5 on the ground. it wasnt long ball, but kind of medium ball
Yeah JPB, i quite liked that, reminded me of when Tommy Hudd run the midfield for us (and hopefully still has a future with us)

reckon Hudd would have done it better oddiy, but honestly cant see him breaking the play up like those 2 lads did in the first half
I agree JPB, but would probably have to play him in the creative role, so i doubt it would work, maybe at home AVB will obly play one holding midfielder (Sandro) with Hudd and MODRIC REPLACEMENT sharing the creating?
