anythin more than 2 lines and I tend to scan!

As Ive said earlier Dundee were obviously tired after the exertions of their travel arrangements!!!

It was a hell of a journey for them

We must be the only two teams in the SPL who have to walk to away matches rather than getting a team bus

JR is some player.

Charlie, cracking player

Bags of ability and a great attitude too. Works hard for the team. There were a couple of times he could have had a pop at goal for his hattrick but he tried hard to try and get his strike partner Daly on the scoresheet instead. I like that about him.

Huddersfield are apparently going to be offering £4.5million for Russell and GMS. Scouts were in the stand.

So Jordan Rhodes to us

I hope not

Celtic will try and get JR. I'd sell Hooper and give DUFC a fair price for JR.

Russell and Rhodes upfront would be a banging strike force.

The JR's ripping Scottish football a new one

posted on 19/8/12

That would be a cracking strikeforce actually. A little inexperienced though.

Obviously I hope you don't get it! Can't have our main title rivals getting one of our best players.

Hi Golac. Were you behind the goal? We were decent for first 15 mins until you scored. If only Nicky had scored that chance. Still would have lost but would have been more of a game. Dunno about the red cards. Both sets of fans were brilliant. Both in the ground and in the pubs afterwards. Just home from a tour of Perth road pubs to have dinner then back out.

Barry

Yeah I sit in the Eddie Thompson stand. Right at the back of the lower tier.

I'm still not sure how Riley missed that chance, certainly his second stab at it. If that had gone in it might have been more of a contest. Harsh lesson for Dundee about being clinical.

The whole atmosphere around the game in the pubs and on the streets afterwards was fantastic.

I think it's summed up by the fact that there wasn't a single arrest at the game.

Where are you off to tonight Barry? Union?

posted on 19/8/12

Na Union isn't open. Been at Braes and Nether, maybe Counting House for cheap drinks first. Got totally soaked walking home though so waiting on the clothes to dry. Yeah the good nature was helped by the fact that we accept that we aren't very good, and that United won. Not sure what it would have been like if we had got a controversial winner or something. You been to the pub?

Ivan if a buy ye a can we have wee Russel have ye bud? we'll gi ye a fair price...

Barry, just nipped into the Boars Rock for one then home. I live in walking distance from there so that suited me nicely. Only got about 3 hours sleep last night so was shattered.

I actually think there is a lot of sympathy towards Dundee from United fans over the fact that you're clearly not ready for the SPL. I do hope you stay in the league. You're right though that it could have been a bit different if Dundee had won a controversial winner, but I hope it wouldn't have been.

Tim - no

I watched the match on Sky Sports 4 and was pleased to see Rab Douglas is still playing. I was also pleasantly surprised the United reserve 'keeper's name was Banks.

All it needed was one of my old favourites 'Gilly' (Alan Gilzean) to show up somewhere.
