For every Lionel Messi you need a Emile Heskey

Obviously and massively over priced at 35M but was extremely good when at Newcastle looked like he was starting to pick up at the end of last season + played well for England at the Euros

Carroll is a product of the English game. He wouldn't have made it in more technical leagues.

Up until the last 4 months Heskey had a better international goals to game ratio than Messi.

"So what do you think, how can someone like Carroll make it as a professional footballer only on the basis of 1 good attribute?"

This is England. A place where many rate Scott Parker as a better midfielder than Michael Carrick.

Suarez must hate playing alongside Carroll. Considering hwo easy he finds controlling a football, to watch Carroll attempt to trap a football must be so infuriating for him.

He was not great at the euro. Scored a cracking header that's it. Nonexistent rest of the time. When newcastle were promoted and he scored 11 goals even then I wasn't impressed at all. All he did was head the ball or blindly smack it hoping it would land into the back of the net. Even for a championship winning team he scored just 17 goals that season.

Carroll must hate playing alongside Share knowing that the greedy little locker couldn't finish his dinner.

Who is Share? Anyway, Carrolls true value was shown when he came off the bench for an injured substitute yesterday for a team who lost 3 nil. So painfully limited. You know someone is a limited player when they are labelled as a "traditional English striker." Ie. Can't play football to a high standard but puts himself about.

Playing alongside Chicharito must be painful too

Knowing hes in an offside position half the time, knowing his link up play is almost none existant

I love the Little pea but he really needs to work on his overall game if he's to ever become a regular starter

He's 4th choice and will never be a regular starter. Thank goodness he didn't cost 35 million and has also scored crucial goals against Chelsea (twice) and Liverpool.

Chicharito is going through a lean patch for the last few months. But when he is on song his ball control, short passing, finishing is very good. Miles better than the donkey. Plus his movement in the box is impeccable. But the guy needs to improve his hold up play and watch out for the offside trap.

Just wait till he comes back to us and starts playing like Ibrahimovich. He's hustling Liverpool. Has been for 2 years. Ashley is in on it too.

This is such a bad article. You'd swear it was written by some hysterical Arsenal toddler.

Newcastle had some good wingers who could bounce it in off him. Liverpool and England don't. Simples
