i like kenny but he is still stuck back in the 90's we need a younger manager who can spot good players

It's a friendly for god sake. Chill out. Neither of the teams on display in the first and second half are ever likely to play together in a proper game. This is practically training. so far in these games we haven't seem our best XI out there together so it is impossible to judge how good we will be this season.

yeah great way to judge a season 1 half of a pre season friendly.

im not just judging it on this performance, we havent exactly improved the squad this summer either.

henderson is no better than any midfielders we have so isnt an improvement

doni is just a back up

adam is no better than gerrard/mereles/aquilani no more than a squad player

downing is the only player that will get into the first team and assuming maxi is going to leave how much better is he really? does it offset the deteriation of aging players like gerrard, carragher, kuyt etc?

im sorry but we are no better than last season

Disagree Wakka, Adam will offer something from deep we have been missing, also him and Downing will bring some much needed balance to the team, we have been lacking decent left footed players for a few years now.

Henderson is only 20, he has not been bought to go straight into the starting 11 whatever the price tag. He can continue to develop next season playing some games but not being overly relied on like he was at Sunderland.

Without CL football our potential signings are limited, were simply not going to get an Aguero or Mata without it, were signing good players from the next bracket down, improving the squad which has been a big problem for us for several seasons.

Last season we showed we already have an 11 capable of beating anyone in the league on their day, now we will have a much stronger bench to choose from if a game is getting away from us.

5 goals conceded these past 2 games so far against teams for league 1 quality.

our first goal was a dive and our second offside. 3-3 would of been fair. i guess we cant complain about man utd getting all the decisions

3-6 wakka not a bad result, the back four will not be like that come the league games no way the Greek and Wilson would start ahead of Cara, Agger or Skrtel, you are being harsh. I know you are a bit of a pessimist but think you are over doing it today.

Personally I think Kelly looks very good he could really push Johnson for the right back spot or even force Kenny to put Johnson out left.
