Could you give me some examples? I know Cotto had to come down to 147 and was spent.
Truss!!!!
What the devil are you doing on here?
Anyhoo, welcome, welcome.
The boxing board on here is about as lively as a stuffed animal at the Natural History Museum for your info.
Hi Badge good to hear from you.....Thought 606v2 got stale so I'll try this one..
Kash If you don't know how many times he's catchweighted then your not really a fan are you???
Way to avoid answering the question your thread is about.
1 star, just because whyen you make a statement but then refuse to prove it you deserve 1 star
Ooh 1 star I won't be able to sleep tonight..
go away sunny....It's bedtime...
You're obviously not a boxing fan kiddo..
Delahoya at 147............
as anybody should know......
Ah bless, look at you trying to be all condescending, it fails because like this thread you are a failure.
But good effort, now off you toddle back to your football board and let us actually talk about boxing rather than just making stupid statements and then acting like a total and utter tool.
Now be off with you.
Oh and you said fighters, not fighter.
Naming one is a fail.
you'd think a fan would know its De La Hoya, not delahoya as well wouldn't you?
What a bunch of girlie sneaks we have on here...
dela hoya hee hee....go away ..
I said fighters...Cotto.. delahoya = fighters..
You go to the football boards..or maybe they are sick of you too....
I can relate to them!!
Folks, If you are a wally please don't post!!!
Enough already..
Owww now you are up to two over his career, still not enough.
Let me guess, you saw this written somewhere so decided to copy and paste it without knowing it was balls which is why you had your little hissyfit.
Again, go back to the football boards, you ain't intelligent enough to be here.
In all fairness to Truss he knows his stuff.
Bumped into him on other boxing forums and he can be quite brusque (no offence intended Truss) but does spark lively debate.
it was me that mentioned Cotto
You wouldnt really think a fight at catchweight was needed especially with the number of current weight divisions there are.
And yeah it is to his advantage but its all about the money.
wasn't leonard/lalonde at a catchweight because titles in two different weight classes were on the line in that fight? i agree in principal though, the welterweight limit is 147 and a lower catchweight should not be a part of the deal.
judging by your thread about mayweather this is obviously a swipe aimed directly at manny pacquiao though. one question trussman, do you agree that mayweather was cheating when he dragged held marquez to a catchwieght heavier than he'd ever fought at before and then made no effort to make weight himself?
I don't particularly like Manny....I think he's used catchweight to gain an edge!!
Oscar hadn't fought at 147 for a while...he was always going to lose on the scales...
i agree, manny does use it to try and stack the deck (or maybe it's more to do with roach or arum trying to stack the deck).
you didn't answer my question though, how do you feel about mayweather agreeing a catchweight against marquez but making no effort to make weight himself?
