Don't worry we've just paid a million pounds for a non league striker, everything will be fine

Certainly has comparisons to last season away from home. Usually get several clear chances at goal and don't seem to have the composure to finish them.

It's a little early to be judging us at this stage IMO, as we are a work in progress. If we grab the equaliser, we are 2nd in the league and several of the people who will probably spend a few days moaning (despite stating their expectations were low) would have been quite happy.

I think one thing is clear, we have played poorly in two first halves and well in two second halves and that needs to change as quickly as possible...probably with the addition to the starting 11 of King, Nugent and maybe Danns.

Lets hope SSL continues to progress ahead of schedule as well.

A work in progress? The owners want promotion this season....end of. We're not a work in progress, we're not building for next season , this is it...

I think tonight was just representative of where we are as a club. We have a squad and a manager who many people said before the season started will, realistically, guide us to a mid-table finish.

At the moment that looks a safe bet and we shouldn't overreact to this defeat just as we shouldn't have got too excited by Saturday's victory.

Many other clubs have strengthened more wisely than us over the summer at least with a view to short-term success and I think our inexperience will show away from home as it did tonight.

Kermogant sounded to be the real McCoy. If only we had somehow like....oh.

Why was Beckford subbed and how did he respond to being taken off?

Rather sloppy in the centre back positions first half. Amazing in the second and awesome pace going forward. Totally not like last season at all. Charlton were shocked at our fitness and on another night we could have murdered them. If the lads keep up this drive we will ne there or only playoffs. Never seen a Leicester team be so dominant in one half away from home in this division as tonight, and as for Knockeart jis is a different and should start all games!!

^ different class!

Mclovin, take your enthusiasm off this board this instant!

I listened to the game, and, although we sounded second best in the first Half and fairly sloppy in defence we sounded like we completely BOSSED the second half, in which we were very unlucky not to score more than what we did.

Once we get either SSL or ZW fit to play centreback we should be more solid in defence.

One thing which does worry me is that we seem to be getting over-run in midfield in the first half of the last two games, we just seem to be a little bit sluggish out of the traps.

Plenty of positives to take away from a very decent performance from which the lads should come away with their heads held high

The view of the CAFC fans and myself was our midfield was class in the second half and we will be going places no doubt. Yes a slow start and a little unlucky but trust me on this, we will be just fine! Charlton fans couldn't believe they beat us and admitted they now understood why we were one of the favourites this year. Its a long season and after 2 games only one team has more than one point over us.given the way we work and performed second half and going home disspointed but very optimistic!

I don't care if we were unlucky or nearly scored, we should've comfortably beaten Charlton. Dominating teams and not scoring is nothing new for Leicester, neither is having a shoddy first half and losing to teams we should beat.

Sounds like the same story to me

im actually quite excited about this year. i think we need maybe 2 more games and wheel will click. Tonight IMO was just a case of need more time. charlton took two opportunities that came there way and we were just a smidge off. if we can just get rid of that sloppy first half and get a striker to score (in the league) i think it will set us for the season.

really pleased to here that we were looking for a winning, heads were not down, we still wanted something from the game and we were still keeping to the task ahead. reports suggest we didnt back down in trying to break them down.

to sum it up, im encouraged, i feel this year we may do something special, i was also pleased big nige was critical but at the same time pleased. he didnt blame it on being early which he could have done and knows full well we are about to click.

championship watch this space...

jesus christ we are 2 games into a 46 game season, steady on boys,
Just another 132 points to play for!! lol

3 points off top.

If I'm saying that with one game to go I'll be fairly happy!!

Put simply - not our night, need to start quicker, bring on the Blackburn.

Beckford was taken off because he was utterly useless for 45 mins. He had one shot that nearly hit me and i was sat nearer the corner flag than the goal

I though we played very well in the second half and YES, Vardy and Dyer should both have scored.
The support was awesome last night, but lets say it was inevitable that YK would score. in fairness he played very well.
we need more back up for Moore and Morgan. Let's hope SSL and Zak Dingle give some competition very soon.

I was there and we need to score when we are on top. The first 15 minuts we should have scored, but didn't. Thought we played well enough to get something from the game, but 2 defensive slips and a hat full of chances missed proved costly.
