ARE WE GOING FOR A RECORD

You find that we actually have 4 Red cards this season as I think Flannaghan got a Red card last night. Just hope we don't have any more injuries in defence as we can not even recall Flannaghan due to his suspension.

It's not a good record to have. . What gets me is that people complain about the consistency of refs, but with a red card in our last three matches (and all competitive matches so far) that looks consistent to me.

Swindon fan in peace.

What are your predictions for tomorrow?

I mean score...

It will be a tough game - as you guys are looking good for the season. Alot will depend on who we actually have available from a fitness perspective - we will already have 3 suspended - Otsemobor played mid week but by all accounts was not fit - so fingers crossed he is OK as he helped balance the defence. Williams is likely to be back so that again gives an added central defender if we need it.

Up front we should be at full strength - so that should test your defence. We came through a difficult game away to Bournmouth with only 10 met - so I reckon we will be pleased if we can hold you to a 1-1 draw.

I cant see it being 0-0 with your manager and our manager both wanting teams to play - so it should be a really good game - so long as we can not get one of our team sent off - hopefully both teams will play football rather than lets kick the opposition

Still its sure to be a firery game

Your result at Bournemouth was a very good one in the circumstances. I think it will be a tough game for us and 1-1 wouldn't surprise me either.

To clarify my post on our board, it's the concept of moving a ream geographically that I'm against. I've nothing against your team or fans, good luck to you (apart from when you're playing us). Your fans will be every bit as passionate about their team as ours or anyone else. I'm sure you're fed up of

Pressed the wrong button! To continue...fed up of being on the end of 'franchise' remarks. No offence intended from me.

posted on 24/8/12

Dont worry, nothing we can do about that - it will always be an issue especially for the Wimbledon Fans - it was their club that moved - in the end it was the owners who called the shots.

The team and fans here are great and we are really lucky to have such facilities. All we can do is try and create a positive new history - and play football. Really should be a cracking game.

No offence taken at all

Thanks for being so gracious and good luck for the season.

No more than four (not counting Flanagan) I beg you on my knees and a red card to the person who writes "Give me five".

Lewington must be stripped of the captaincy, knowing what has happened in the last 3 games, how canhe get himself sent off.

If this carries on, they will start being stripped of points as there won't be enough players to field a side and could get sucked into the relegation battle.

Robbo needs to lay down the law to the team, or maybe Pete needs to lay down the law to Karl befre it is too late.

posted on 25/8/12

Listening to the game on the radio - even the opposition commentators said that no way was it a sending off offence - so much as I lay into Lewi for lapses of discipline - and this was one - this was another very harsh straight red - again can only go by the radio commentary - but Swindon did not sound that convincing in the 2nd half - so not too concerned yet

posted on 25/8/12

One harsh decision and a lack of common sense by the ref doesn't mean Lewie should be stripped of the captaincy, although if Pete or Karl want someone to go through the videos and to advise them why they are red cards I am available at reasonable rates.

"but Swindon did not sound that convincing in the 2nd half"

They battered us in the 1st half and looked comfortable in the 2nd.

I thought we (swindon) played well in the first half and probably could of had 1 or maybe 2 before the sending off. My opinion would be that of....no way a red card. It just looked to me that LEwington was hanging on to the ball and ferry tried getting it back. In doing so Lewington tried moving the ball away again ad caught Ferry. It didnt look like a delibrate elbow or anything like that! I think it worked against us though as we were pretty poor in the 2nd. MK didnt really do much for me today but I cant imagine thats going to stay the same, they will turn it around for you guys Im sure! To summarise......I dont think it was a red! But TV highlights might change my mind later!!! Good luck for the season!!

Forget the red, cba to talk about it anymore

We were poor yesterday, Swindon looked exactly like how we do every time we win 2-0 at home in a convincing win. Easy and should have been 3-0 easily, Swindon just didn't punish us like they should which I dare say is a mirror image of us a lot of the time, their passing football was beautiful.

Though I'm not worried about the future, 4 points from 9 available when you consider 2 of those were against top teams away from home with ten men is a decent tally! I'm sure we'll be okay!

Loved Di Canio's reaction to us fans at the end though brilliant man!

The fact MK Dons ha 56% of the possession but just 1 shot on target, is a lot more worrying than the Red, another team has learnt how to play MK Dons and get a result - give them 75% of the pitch and just defend the final quarter. Very much the same story as last season

posted on 26/8/12

Bill like McM I am not worried, we played 2 top teams under difficult circumstances and out of 3 games got 4 points. With some better self discipline and luck keeping our injuries down, we will do well COYD

Think you need to forget your obsession with posession. I was there and I would never have told you we had the majority of the posession.

They beat us by playing their own football and closing us down expertly. Simple as that

posted on 26/8/12

But in the end they only beat ten men 1-0 at home.

Still no answer on the record red cards at the begining of the season any one know.

Also have the referees got it in for the Dons, it looks like it.

posted on 27/8/12

In my opinion all four red cards were justified to one degree or another and it probably is some kind of record. I think the question have refs got some kind of bias against MK Dons is a separate question and MKDSA have come up with some interesting stats:

http://www.mkdsa.co.uk/index.php/1019-are-referee-s-targeting-mk-dons?

I believe its in the Football League's court to explain why MK Dons gets more cards per foul than any other club. Are our fouls worse or are we more undisciplined? In my eyes refs are targeting players more than clubs and unfortunately we have a few on their most wanted list.

Agreed Furz, I genuinely reckon Smith's sending off was simply because he was Alan Smith, if that had been any other player it'd have been a card I'm almost 100% sure, though I still think it warranted a red and I can see why he gave it.

In case we get a player sent off against Blackburn I'm thinking of asking Terry Marshall to play the following:
