I think it might have something to do with the diversity of languages in the PL now and how a lower % actually speak english

some of the foreign boys seem a laugh though... Ando, Evra, Nani.... Welbeck seems to have a bit of personality in interviews i've seen... then you have Giggs cóckin every girl that he sees.

But the likes of Keano, Gazza and Vinnie Jones are history now.

why?

in that case so are barton and balotelli, in case you didnt notice people who are described as 'characters' are usually total tw@ts

Just my opinion. Mad dog Allen. Ranting and raving. Spouting $hit. Never his fault, never his team's fault, always hard done by. That's all I've seen from him, which isn't much.
Forgive me. Getting really drunk now.

Same with bands mate, bland, manufactured, nothing to say about anything, ie. Keane,Coldplay etc...
Where are the likes of The Jam,Clash,Smiths,Ian Dury,Billy Bragg,Mondays etc. It's a society thing I think, not much individuality these days. Reality TV & talent shows rules it seems

Good article, I think this is true. It's as though the richer footballers have got, the more boring they have become!

The likes of Gazza and Wright were good value in a post match interview. Nowadays it's all "Of course it's nice to score the goal but the result is the most important thing and it was a great team effort". Stick in a few "erms" and "ums" at random for the full effect...

Tennis players seem more boring now as well imo.
