To much emphasis is put on this, although it does help in most cases, it can hinder your team.
After we lost Michael Ricketts we had the most success in our clubs history, without a 20 goal a season striker, so i couldnt care less if we had one
I'd rather the goals were shared about the team really - then if you lose the star 20 goals a season man through injury or suspension we're not worrying who'll get the goals.
Am I being greedy in wanting not one but two "20 goal a season" men?
Wyn Davies and Franny Lee.....
Neil Whatmore and Alan Gowling.....
Andy Walker and John McGinlay.....
David Reeves and Tony Philliskirk.....
Erm....., Trevor Morgan and Steve Elliott....(maybe not).
It's ok sharing out the goals throughout the team, as long as the total scored in a season is enough to get you up.
Having three blokes on seven each isn't much kop.
I think we need one of our (alleged) strikers to chip in with a pan full this season.
(And it won't be Ngog)
[ and it wont be n'gog ] i think he could be o.k. in this league, one thing is for sure i will at least give him a chance.
N'gog doesn't even want to be in this league according to what he told the French press, so it wouldn't suprise that he's pulling the old bad back routine to get out of 'menial duties'.
Only two players scored 20 goals in last season's Championship - Rickie Lambert got 27 and Vaz Te got about 22 but half of them were for Barnsley, so it's not a necessity for promotion.
I think our top scorer could well be Chris Eagles with about 17.
What did Ngog say to the french press?
I can't see us having a 20 goal man. I expect Coyle to mix the forward line up a little so there'd have to be a cracking ratio!
SKD could play 100 games and not score 20 though!
I have a bet with a friend, I get £10 if Ngog is top scorer and £20 if he bags 20. He has same for Sordell, but I have faith!!
Im not sayin ur opinion means nothing, but it doesnt carry as much weight, u cant see as much, u dont see off the ball movement as much. But as lh said, there are enough morons at the bok who have no idea.
I see enough to make a judgement on who plays well and who doesn't. What you seem to be saying is Football on TV isn't worth watching and you can't have a proper opinion on how a player or a team plays.
I couldn't disagree more.
