Crap article.

Plus he lied.

"I couldn’t watch the LFC v Hearts game as I was at the cinema. So I recorded it and avoided all forms of communication that might spoil it for me. And after 30 minutes I was feeling delightfully spirited. So I thought I’d have a look at what the temperature was on Twitter."

Why would you avoid all forms of communication then sit down to watch the match and after thirty minutes check Twitter(which is in real time stupid article writer) thus ruining the match?

Also why blast Liverpool fans who actually watched the match whilst he preferred to goto the cinema?

I think it's old news, tbh.
Online and anonymous, many people are tempted to behave like delinquent adolescents.

I don't think it reflects what people in the stadium might be saying. Nothing like it, in fact, from my experience.

Whilst I sort of agree that some of our fans are more miserable, the vast majority of us are realists. And as TOOR points out, the author of that article loses all credibility with his comments about going on Twitter while watching a recorded match.

It seems to me he's trying to put others down but putting himself on the top of the hill and calling himself the king of the castle.

Every club has doom and gloom fans and when things aren't going well, you get even more but what shouldn't be underestimated is the massive increase in social interaction due to the internet and thus the less intelligent get their views aired.

When I talk to big Liverpool fans in my day to day life, from the club I used to be a member of, they clear as day know what they're talking about. Yet online, you see all sorts of nonsense.

I think all clubs have thick fans.

There are certainly more of them in todays era but that's not just Liverpool.

ok I agree on your points about going on twitter etc that was a bit silly but it's the point he makes about being realistic and getting behind the team I like. Plus I don't see where he is slating the fans that went to last nights game. I think it's aimed more at the keyboard warriors and fans he has witnessed whilst at matches he attended.

He was doing what he was complaining about them doing, that's the point. He was being a keyboard warrior when he was airing his views about fans he disagreed with and called stupid. He also preferred the cinema to the Liverpool match, whilst most of those who he was slating would might have watched the match.

Toor, maybe his wife/girlfriend had the last word on what last nights entertainment should be and I know I'm left feeling like I wish I'd gone the cinema instead of watching some of the performances I've seen sometimes

Gave the whole article a read and I still hate Downing..!! And most of the time Henderson!! Call me stupid all he likes I hate the way they play for Liverpool and hate the way the both disappear in game on a regular basis and how they offer next to nothing..!! Must be my lack of intelligence getting in the way of my judgement...
