If only Sterling had the hype the Ox has
bat_out_of_hell - What exactly has he done wrong so far in order to be not worth what we paid for him?

i made a thread a few weeks back saying 15 million was a lot of money for a guy like joe allen...
i still think it was massive money for him......but im happy to be proven wrong .....and im a resident ja606 doom monger ...
but chillax..hes playing well
If we play this way this season, we might be in for 5th...............and a cup.
We need to be cautious. City are the new comeback kings.

Is he taking the p'iss?

I saw that figured he got United and City mixed up
Not really. They do have a knack for coming from behind. Once it was United. Then it was us. Now it's City.
I don't think anyone can have a go at anyone who was wary of paying 15 million for Allen. He had one good season with Swansea, there has been many players that have only ever had one good season never to produce again. I thought the price was high but he was always the player we needed to tie our midfield together.
thats what i was saying in a nutshell..
Same it's like they've been doing it for years

Cracking first half that. Rodgers passing philosophy seems to have sunk in. We appear hungry for the ball, and are putting it in the right places. Sterling has been good again, the lad looks a prospect. Luis looks like he is starting to understand he can't do it all on his own. Borini went close, woodwork was our friend, and we nearly forced our old friend Own-Goal out of retirement.
Is this a co-incidence, with Downing, Adam et al out of the team?
More of the same 2nd half!
