I really don't think they'd change anything.
Our problem today stemmed from a complete lack of width.
Podolski and Gervinho both came in off of the flanks, which made their defence more compact and suffocated Giroud.
We need a natural scorer like Soldado or Falcao expensive but what else can we do
Dzeko would be a class signing for the Gooners. .
Giroud was top scorer in Ligue 1 last season.
Van Persie was not a natural goalscorer (a converted deep-lying forward and a player that was found to have missed more clear cut chances than any player in the Premiership last year) but he played in a system that had good cohesion and balance, with Benayoun, Walcott, and Rosicky stretching the opposition defence.
After at least 2 more signings according to sanderson. No doubt talking out his a.rse again though.

RVP's progress took years. Do we have to wait that long (more trophyless seasons) before Giroud becomes a better goalscorer in our system? Nobody in our squad is the answer to the goals we need
But even last year Van Persie wasn't a clinical finisher; he missed more clear cut chances than any other player according to Opta.
There was no chance that Giroud had the Van Persie would have scored.
You're honestly judging Giroud after one start and deciding he's not a good enough goalscorer?! If he'd missed a few clear chances, I'd understand, but he was feeding off of scraps.
He was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season, so it's not like he doesn't have a record of scoring.
I honestly can't believe people are writing him off after only 100 minutes in an Arsenal shirt.
Lewandowski? Good player. But he's not really better than Giroud.
Same with Llorente. Poor suggestions.
