Allen was excellent. It does make you have a look at where Henderson is though and you would think that he is nowhere near Allen at the same age.
I saw someone say Allen had a 100% pass completion rate in the first half, how awesome is this guy?
Different level for me,absolutely class. Sahin will come on and gerrard will play right front 3,which excites me.
We desperately need a striker imo. Wouldn't surprise me if one of bent, defoe, huntlelaar,Rhodes signs.
Toor.
It doesn't look good for Henderson, the arrival of Sahin will further restrict his playing time this season, such a shame because I really rated him and is/was hopeful that he would eventually come good, luckily for he's still so that may still happen.
How is a point against the champs disappointing??

What he said.
I think BR would take a point at home against Man U, Man C and Arsenal!!
And yeah we battered them lol....................
You have to be disappointed when you set out for a win, you deserve a win and a silly mistake costs you it.
He was exactly the type of player we needed.
A lot of fans believed he was over priced and/or believed we needed other area's of the team strengthened, rather than spend the £15m on Allen. Hopefully, they can see what an excellent acquisition he is going to be.
In two games he has showed the type of technical ability, positioning, intelligence and composure we have needed. He knits the play together, he is a brilliant little player.

I have to say I was one of the people who thought it was a mistake to buy Allen in a position where we have many players but after seeing Allen it makes me doubt the ability and potential ability of Henderson who I thought would take that role.
He's certainly nothing like Gerrard and if Sahin comes in, after seeing Allen's performance we could see Lucas missing out in some games and Gerrard missing out in others to accommodate him.

I am sorry but Joe Allen and an in-form Gerrard are a million miles apart in how they operate on the pitch. Allen is a consistent 8/10 every week, Gerrard has never has been like that. He use to throw in the occasion 10/10 performance but always had a few invisible displays. They are totally different.
People need to understand that having a 100% pass ratio isn't necessarily better than a player who has a lesser pass ratio but much better penetration. They are completely different things and you need to do both and thus players who do both. You need a balance.
I think you have trod this ground before TOOR. Yes, a good mix is essential in a team, however, you only have to watch and listen to the manager to realise how much he wants to own possession of the ball rather than it being hoofed forward.
Gerrard does lose possession a lot, not so much today, but he is prone to a hero ball. Rodgers hates it. Why do you think Enrique isn't in the team?

I've been telling you Henderson is crap since day 1 last season but I know you need time to figure things out.

Enrique isn't in the team because he has been injured.
I understand he was injured. I still think the manager doesn't fancy him as a player though. And if he is on the bench then he is fit to play.

Not necessarily fit to start.
There is no evidence that BR is unhappy with Gerrard either despite your constant claims that he will be.
He won't dump Enrique, he will just improve him to fit his methods. He will only dump him if he proves incapable of the improvement required.
Gerrard already proved he can play the way BR wants today. He was excellent.
