I bet Raheem is thinking

"Christ this new bloke hates me already, could be years until I start a game for Liverpool with him around.."

I'm guessing this is the main reason we haven't seen suso feature. Thinking he is slightly better than he is maybe?

Rodgers' will be telling him that until he improves his attitude, he wont be anywhere near the first team.

It's all up to Suso now, really. You can see from the video that Rodgers won't stand for any muck, but it's also clear that if a player takes on board any criticism that Buck gives them and is willing to push themselves, then their age will not be a barrier to them.

Rodgers has stated that Raheem was set to go out on loan, but that his work in pre-season convinced Buck to keep him. So Suso can mope about feeling sorry for himself and grumbling on Twitter about being in the reserves, or he can do what Raheem did: work so hard that it became impossible for Buck not to promote him.

He should be looking at what Sterling's achieved and realising what a tremendous opportunity he has to break into the first team under this manager. If he wants to throw it away in a fit of ego-fuelled pique... Well, it would be a shame, but there's not much that can be done about it. Rodgers has shown he'll give youth every opportunity - the ball's in Suso's court now, and that goes for the rest of the youth players, too.
