Hope you enjoyed it mate. The first home game I went to was the 2-1 v united when babel scored the winner. Great times.

Fair play lad, pity we didn't hold on for the win, it gets addictive going to the games!

Shame we couldn't get a win, but the atmosphere must have been amazing

My first game was home to Birmingham City, when Heskey scored a bicycle kick!

Glad you enjoyed it mate.

Even though we didn't win, it was a great game with a crackin atmosphere.

As I'm sure you'll understand with it being my first game, the result wasn't as meaningful as the experience (as bad as that sounds), the result was more of a bonus.

Roll on this Sunday

Going to Arsenal next week and I can't wait to be back

Anfield rocks when Liverpool play the likes of City, but it's fooking flat when playing teams like Stoke.

What a load of rubbish. We had 44,700 last time we played Stoke at Anfield and Pulis even said post match 'what a fantastic crowd here'.

Everton managed to draw 33,300 to Goodison for the same fixture though

JB, I was at that Stoke game last season, the atmosphere was dire. Unless you're sat in the Kop, people just don't want to sing unless we're playing a big club.

Obviously the more history with the opposition the more noise but how rival fans cans give it all that when their place is even worse is beyond ironic. It's a bit like the person who finished last in a race laughing at the one who came second!

The thing is JB, other fans don't bang on about how special the atmosphere is. All fans raise their game when they play the bigger clubs, but we don't claim to be above all others like the reds do.

I think when we're talking on our own board, we can bang on about what we like concerning our club.

Most current and ex-players and managers always name Anfield as the best crowd - it isn't just us!

Most players who have had a good career at a club will. Cahill says it about Everton. The Stoke fans, give it all ,no matter who they're playing,to me,they're the type of fans who should be given praise, not fairweather fans like Liverpool have.

I'm not talking about ex-players of Liverpool, I'm talking about players and managers of other teams worldwide - when asked what's the best away ground atmosphere.

Your comments show your general attitude towards Liverpool so no surprise you have this view of the fans.

Like Henry? Who plays for one of the bigger teams. I'm not saying Anfield doesn't rock, what I'm saying is, it only rocks when the big boys are in town.

=================================

It's not the fairweather fans who are responsible for the good atmospheres though. And when it's good it's unbelievable.
