Absolutely not on the Huntelaar front. The polar opposite of the type of striker we would buy if we were to sell Carroll.

I hope we do a straight swap between Dempsey and Adam. We bought him for 7m and Dempsey is in his final year of his contract + wants to leave so that should lower the price. I dont think Dempsey is worth 11m even though he is a good player

Adam, Spearing, J Cole and Carroll out as long as:

Dempsey and a £20M+ striker comes in.


That means Adam, Carroll, J Cole and Bellamy from KD's signings have lasted a year leaving only Downing,Enrique, Hendo and Suarez left; of which only Enrique and Suarez have been what can be called a success...pretty damning verdict on KD's signings!

why not huntelaar. played great with suarez at ajax. i would have thought a deadly finisher is exactly what we need right now. you could have a front three of:
Suarez....Huntelaar....Dempsey
with sterling as an impact sub

What's the point in selling Carroll when you replace him with someone who doesn't even fit the style of the team? Surely that would be the point in selling Carroll in the first place...

I think Sturridge would be good for you guys. To be honest Borini just doesn't look ready yet, from someone who watched him in the Chelsea reserves, he hasn't progressed as much as I thought he would have. I'm sure he will be a very good striker in his time though.

Sturridge playing as a CF at Liverpool could work. Playing ahead of Suarez and Gerrard, he has shown how clinical he can be during his spell in Bolton, and all those goals from the wing for us last season. Another player Rodgers knows well from his time at Liverpool.

£15m does seem a bit steep though I won't be complaining if you pay it

huntelaar wouldn't offer as much as the other players around him but he will be the man who puts the ball in the back of the net. van persie did little but score 30 goals in the league last season. huntelaar scored 29 in 32 games last season! thats exactly what we need!!! we can't just keep buying tippy tappy players like suarez. we need a goalscorer

Sell the old "Dalglish guard": Downing, Henderson, Adam, Carroll, Spearing, Cole... Let's see we could get about 40, that would get us: Sturridge (or anyone goalscorer) and Dempsey.

Assaidi's signing stopped me from speculating on who to sign, however we need to get rid of ;Cole......high wages, Spearing......poor player

If we are going to get a striker lets get a clinical, fast and aggresive type.

A lot of the African strikers i see in the ACON fit the bill perfectly.

I know im doing something very wrong here but i think Berbatov will be perfect for us. Not everyone's cup of tea but he is a quality striker and knows where the back of the net is and he rarely loses possession.

Although Suarez is going to stay central so if we buy a striker he'll have to settle for a squad role
