Nah.
Would rather we signed Del Piero.
If it's gone wrong in China, then get Drogba, forget Anelka.
yeh i'd take that but it would never happen plus i don't know what his wages are

U serious JTR?? How did bellers get on at 33yrs old for us?
NA would almost guarantee between 12-20 goals in the league.......thats at least 4th me boy!!
Gerard Houllier made the mistake on passing on Anelka. That was the time to buy him. Drogba? Tart.JimmyTheRed
Id have Drogba for a season!
I think what Jimmy means is that Rodgers is working on a long term plan and a thirty-three year old doesn't fit into that.
For me personally it's simple, either back Carroll and play him or sell him and get somebody in who will play, in a similar mould who can hold the ball upfront without trying to dribble past five players and losing it.
Carroll needs to be utilized or yes ship him out!!
TOOR....One season not long term thats all, we are after 4th or higher and NA would absolutely help us. Look what bellers did for us and are you telling me Drogba wasnt instrumental for cfc last season; cmon guys....its a no brainer PLUS we could take it easy on Borini in his first season.
Anelka would be a good signing, I agree but what then happens with Carroll? Are we selling him or playing him, that decision needs to be made.

Please tell me you are joking.

Sahin has only signed for a season
I have a feeling £18M and Carroll is gone...tbh if we get 4th then sorry to sound harsh but CL group is worth £40M so not really worried about carroll; i dont think hes in BR plans and i reckon the club have written him off to the tune of £17M.
So if Carroll is gone then we need to invest that £18m* in a player who is going to play. Anelka is 33 and wouldn't be able to play every game plus has to get up to the Premier League level again having been at a lower level for a while. However as a squad player, it would be a good move, in my opinion.
TOOR, I'm not challenging or criticising your view, and I accept it's not an easy issue to resolve, but with Andy C, time is of the essence. BR needs time, AC needs time, to see if they can in fact gel. I was at Anfield on Sunday; to witness the support the big man got just in warming up was phenomenal. Lots of fans believe he could make a big difference. While before I was critical of him, I am far less so now. I think he can make it at LFC JimmyTheRed
I agree Jimmy. I would love Carroll to stay but I don't want him going late on the 31st with no replacement.
TOOR I hear that! Carroll needs games to shine IMO, either use him or replace him!
I wouldbe very surprised if he doesn't get a run out against Hearts tomorrow, but I fear that time is against him. BR is his own man. As the TV guy last week at Hearts found out when he held the mike too close, Brendan has his limits to diplomacy. Sterling too, got put in his place. jimmyTheRed
