by the way what are we meant to be panicking about... selling Theo? really...?
Even Wenger has limits though. The man is somehow able to rescue us from seemingly certain death to achieve Top 4, but it's unrealistic to think he can keep on doing that within the constraints imposed upon him.
Selling walcott is fine, if we replace him. Whether we want to or have time is an other matter.

=====================================
Well come the 1st Sept it may appear that we've had a bad transfer window and gooners are panicking about that. I say regardless of what happens, stay strong and trust le Professeur.
Isn't oxlade-chamberlain a better/ready-made replacement for Theo?
I dont trust him in what he says in press conferences or post match and normal interviews anymore.
I get the impression that Wenger sat down at the end of the season, analysed what had happened and for whatever reasons came to the conclusion that Song and Theo are not going to take us forward but just keep us where we are.
Possibly he wants to change Arsenal's attacking approach, replacing pacey wingers with more technical players capable of better build-up play.
Or maybe he'll surprise us and Theo will stay after all.
But wenger dosnt want to sell these players. It's not his plan. His hands are tied. If we keep this trend, there isn't a lot wenger can do, as the squad he has will get worse and worse. If the club allow him to spend and rebuild a squad, then I trust very much he will get us winning things. But at the moment his plans for the club are being fraughted by greedy players and tight fisted board members.

Yeah don't trust that - he's playing to the media, not necessarily revealing his hand. Remember he admitted to actually seeing a lot more than he says, but he pretends to be half-blind to protect his players.
Trust that whatever he actually ends up doing will be good for our team.
But wenger dosnt want to sell these players. It's not his plan.

What makes you say this? RVP aside of course...
Whatever anyone's particular thoughts on Walcott are, the simple fact is there's been far too much turnover of first team players during recent seasons for Arsene to build anything on.
Every summer seems to bring with it another rebuilding exercise for him, only each time he's expected to achieve something with slightly less money, and with a slightly less secure squad to build upon.
In the end the constant destabilising will be too much even for Arsene to cope with. Perhaps Walcott's now probable departure might even prove to be the tipping point for the boss..?
This is absolute ballocks. Stop being so blind, fans are paying the highest season ticket prices and being ripped off year after year. Somebody needs to stand up and say something. This is just going to continue into next season and the one after that. If by September 1st he hasn't bought a DM, a defender, a striker (if chamakh park and bendtner leave) and a Theo replacement (if he leaves) we should go ape.
STOP TAKING THIS FOR GRANTED.
The board is taking the mick.
I don't think Wenger cared about selling Song but he would like to keep Walcott. Problem with Walcott is, if you give him £100K then we are repeating the same problems we are trying to get out of.
Paying players like Bendtner, Denilson etc..... too much and we can't sell them if they don't perform.
If we sell him, he will go to another club for less than he is demanding from us, guaranteed!
Come on Walcott, sign the flipping contract!
Well Wenger is a man who likes his challenges, may it only motivates him even more...
I'm not just talking about players leaving now. Wenger said he didn't want nasri and fabregas to leave. He also wanted flamini to stay. He almost built a title winning squad that season, but again was dismantled by greedy players. He wouldn't have wanted hleb, nasri, flamini fabregas to go. If they had stayed and he bought in additional players, we could have won things.
And I don't think he would like walcott to go. He has put a lot faith in him.
hmm... maybe we should just accept Wenger will keep us relatively competitive then and look to the future. We could be the China of the premier league, making money now to become a powerhouse a few years down the line.
Arsene's current contract runs 'til 2014.
Do you really think he'll extend it again?
Why would he, when he's virtually guaranteed the PSG job whenever he fancies it?
Make the most of Arsene while you still can.
The Arsenal board are.
If we sell to l'pool then we might aswell give them the 4th place.
powerking you must be having a laugh
I hope Lex is - I can't see Wenger wanting such a boring job
Wenger's close ties to PSG are well known.
But perhaps you weren't aware of them?
A bit scary how these dates would line up with Arsene's current contract with Arsenal ending:

When Wenger leaves Arsenal it will be a sad day, I love that man. But a part of me doesn't like him being the fall guy for our current regime.
