Ade & Defoe have both got very good goals-to-games ratios with Spurs, so you shouldn't mock it.

The problem is obviously with injuries, but as long as they stay fit, that is not a bad forward line to reckon with.

Chicken, yes true VDV is still with us. Not sure I would want him to depart, he is technically our best player (for 60 minutes). Hope it is only a rumour.
And yes, there is still hope that Levy will bring in a striker.

i'd like to see a couple of strikers personally. i know it's hard to keep them all happy, but you need to rotate and there's always injuries, lack of form etc

I agree. VDV for 60 mins is better than no VDV at all. And with these new players coming in, it could all rotate very well. Although i wouldnt like to see players rotated for the sake of it, ie. come in, do well & then left on the bench the following game (which is what we have done with Defoe at times).

Doh! I emant to type I agree with that, Ade was NEW STRIKER, but what we now need is a WORLDLY STRIKER, a top notch world class striker.

Whatever the striker config is, we collectively need them to be getting 35+ PL goals per season. Have we had this in the past 10 yrs ??

Apart from the G00ns needing super strikers to salvage their CL participation, the correlation between the team with a 20+ PL goals per season striker and a top 2/3 placing is very high.

They waste, scuff or hit too many chances straight at the keeper. We could do with a top class striker who hits the back of the net regularly.

Agree Spurm, which is why I worry so much about Ade...and we've got him for good now (i.e. any problems and we won't be able to get rid of him for his four-year contract)...
