AVB will only start one striker so I imagine the thinking was we have three so let's strengthen in other areas , even if only a new keeper comes in then we are FAR stronger than last term
Ignore the scousers they are on the crest of a wave after getting a point , didnt see much of them after getting destroyed the other week
I agree, it's a good signing but we have to remember that he is not as good as Modric so unless we sign a new player to add to the quality we'll probably have a weaker team than last year.
Saying that, a team is greater than the sum of it's parts so we will have to see if he suits us and if we have a good combination of players.
I dont think we will sign another striker permanently in this window, but have a sneaky feeling we may get one in on loan at the last minute.
Scousers are laughing because Joe Allen is world class and we only have Dembele... oh wait
If we're being positive we're pretty much in the same boat as last season. If we get Lloris we're looking stronger. We will miss King but have a consistent CB pairing.
Though Modric has more to his passing, Dembele will fit our style more in terms of defending and he's is great on the ball.
We're looking short up top and if this isn't addressed we need to hope Ade doesn't get injured or stroppy.

I`d love Lloris and Leandro and maybe Moutinho as well (pushing it I know), with no departures except dead wood.
I think we'll get Lloris and Willian. I would like Lloris, Afellay (loan) and Llorente, but I'm dreaming.
we def need some pure CM creativity. Sandro & Dembele are a real powerful combo,no one is going to bully them and that will be a nice change at WHL. But someone needs to be buzzing around them making it all tick and threading passes in every third, plus getting in the box.
Thats a lot of attributes and will therefore have to be a top class player...and that is where I hope Levy surprises us.
I think Willian or Afalay are more of a right wing/wide striker part of the front 3.
For a complete squad i think we need a new GK, new wide player/wide striker, creative CM and a striker....but potentially that's a hell of a lot of money...£38m already spent.
