Dean will have a plan. In wor dean I trust.
been confirmed in a grayson interview that its 8m up front not payments. boom
right boys who we avin? is adebayor available? we sign who we want. lets have becchio for the bench
at least rhodes was honest with deano..
"i want to move for the money"....
i personally now owe rhodes nothing..
i hope he dissapears without trace and after his 4 years of nothing are up he can spend a good deal of time afterwards counting/washing his money..
god help blackburn if he scores a few for them, he will become unsettled again...
dean is a businessman and he wont knowingly waste money but it might be nice, just once, for an owner of a club to say;
"f-ck you, if you dont want to play for us, you can sit in the stand for a while, you are under contract... Now f-ck off out of my office"....
wont happen, sadly until it does we should really take the badges off the shirts, because few of them are fit to wear the badge, it means absoulutely zero to them..
my advice to p clarke/gerrard/lynch when we play blackburn, get into rhodes up the pitch, bully him and whack him...he wont make any impact on the game at all.. He might score goals but he is a pansy...
Bit harsh that, 38, but that's your opinion. I agree that he can be got at but my own opinion is you don't score 40 in the third tier of English football by being a bit of a 'pansy'
He runs like a pansy that for sure.
forest knocked him about..he didnt get a shot.. the penalty does not count..
you get injured by challenging for the ball...he wont get many injuries that way..
having watched the games where he scored a sackfull, he didnt actually get challenged for the goals..
whoever he plays with up front for blackburn better get some serious fitness training in cos they are gonna have to run a lot, running for two...
8 million, its almost theft...
Blackburn must be on drugs to pay £8m for Rhodes.
What a joke, good deal for you though.
owl..
in the big scheme of silly fees and wages in football it isnt that much..
just be thankfull that your defenders never put in a performance like they did against us at hillsborough last season or you would never have got anywhere near promotion.. 4-4 and not a well worked goal in the 8... kamikaze defending.. brought rhodes onto the "big stage"..
then his 5 at wycombe, being honest wycombe looked like an under 11 side playing against under 18s that night, shambolic is a nice word to use for them..
When we really, really needed him to score in tight games where the defenders looked like defenders he dissapeared in most of them..
I would happily have taken a 1-0 at wycombe and spread his other 4 goals over other games..
He's always Jiggered !
puffing & panting, When some WAG from over there starts pulling his skin back he'll be worse....& there'll be plenty of them, They'll be putting the painted faces on as we speak.
Novak did all the ground work, & managed to stick 17 goals in himself, & we still have him. Bonus.
Clive Allen & Joe Jordan watched him score 5 & left before the end....unimpressed..
Town doubled his wages and he still wasn't content.
40 pieces of Silver.
No applause from me.
Hes a pansy darn, ask 38 if you dont believe me...hay darn have You herd they have moved the blackpool gam, i booked a hotle for the wk end and now lost 196 pounds, but am not botherd, ╯▂╰
Can't believe what I'm reading here guys. So a guy comes up to you and says I can treble your wages and give you a 4 year contract you say no thanks mate, I've got loyalty to my boss and my mates at work ?
jacko..
im not saying he shouldnt have gone..i did believe he was looking for a career and would make the right choices for the right reasons..
fulham/west ham etc...
he pushed for the move simply for money..
i therefore dont give a sh-t how his "career" goes..
he moved sideways for cash..
By the way most people dont have their "contracts" bumped up two or 3 times during it to keep their "loyalty" when things are going well.. and if i pay extra to my people for outstanding work its on the "understanding" that they see out their contract, in fact its written in or they have to pay back their "loyalty" money if they overnight become "unsettled"...
He owes us nothing and similarly we owe him nothing..
loyalty payments, extensions and extras in football??
we bumped up peltiers money, he left and likewise with pilkington(even though he wasnt playing) he left..
jacko, never try and use the footballing world as a yard stick for what happens in the real world..
He didn't push the deal at all.
There was never a transfer request from the player, only an asking price from the club.
No well worked goals at Wednesday last season in 8? The second goal was superb passing by Town! I remember that been a good goal
apparently yesterday his agent was informed of the wages now on offer.. jordan went and asked to move..grayson has said so..
jordan said he did not want to play for us again..
its a transfer request....albeit it a late one giving the club little option..
jordan may not have "pushed" the deal but his agent certainly will have on his behalf.. the agent works for you not the other way round.. jordan is /was part of that "push"...
Quite certain now he would have moved anywhere for a more money.. If they are daft enough to pay it then im happy with the 8 million.. he is happy with his new money and I couldnt give a sh-t if he never scores again..
Tell you what we have to get that hammle lad from wolves, just watched a clip of him when he was at barnsley, he's shiite hot.
inter..we passed it down a side where there were no wendies players at all???? it was that kind of afternoon..
the 4th goal for us was two centre halves ball watching and then not making any sort of challenge at all, id have scored..
Truthfully, i think i might have got a couple at wycombe and im 50 and havent got any boots anymore... he scores goals at a certain level, lets see how he goes when the levels against him rise...
38...Yes, I agree 'real' life is different to footy..generally. As for JR asking for a transfer, there was a selective use of words there by Town in what they said...they implied that JR had said he wanted to go so Town were left with no choice...but the reality is Town had agreed the fee, then JR said he'd agreed terms, so only after those 2 things had happened did the transfer happen.. Both had to agree not just one, and Town had the final say on it. That's what deano said at the outset..Town agree the fee, then it's up to Jordan if its a go-er or not.
Anyway Deano's in tomorrows examiner so we'll see what the process was then.
been 50 for a bit loui..but ta anyway..
on holiday from sunday...timed for the international break.. how daft am i..?
Now i believe im supposed to show my gratitude to jordan rhodes for everything he did for me???
If he had ever put himself out a millionth as much as i have for htfc then he might get some from me... He has had silly wages for a lad for the last 2 seasons, thats enough gratitude for now..
Nobody is saying YOU have to do anything, 38.
Mutter into your programme, have a pint, hey, even go to the khazi if you want. But I will applaud the lad regardless of your lectures.
Ah, democracy.
He disappeared in the game against us at the Galpharm.
I compare him to Cox, who had also only been proven in league 1 level, and arguably a better all round player. He also scored a few times in the Premier league. How much did he go for, about a million? A lot more sensible to me.
How much would you value Madine at Owl? Would you be peeved if he went for a million?
lectures???
just an honest opinion....like yours..
I just happen to think they get very well rewarded for just doing "what they do"....adoration and heartfelt gratitude just isnt in my make-up for professional footballers..
At wembley I was with the fans, with the ones in tears etc they are the ones that I feel close to and am glad to see on rainy tuesdays in stevenage etc.. players come and go for all sorts of reasons, this one left for money , we owe him nothing..
