Squid - the answer (I think) is that they're the last three permanent managers we've appointed in the off-season...and look how the first two turned out, both backed to the hilt too (although Ardiles was obviously pre-Levy).
Ramos did well with the squad he inherited when he was appointed (not in the league but we won the cup in glorious style on the way in the semi) but as we all know the revolving door at the start of the next season had us all foaming at the mouth with expectation, and look what it came to
Sorry, don't mean to be a doom-mongerer, but I think we've got to temper our expectations of AVB and give him at least a season and a half, because we've been here before under Levy and it didn't work out well (last season's summer transfer window probably cost us third place as much as anything else imho, and he's done almost the same thing this time).
Just saying. We appear to be moving in the right direction, especially with the stadium, I just hope AVB is given time, because so far I reckon he hasn't put a foot wrong, but if things go bosoms up I worry he'll be the fall-guy.
Right, onto positivity from here on in (until tomorrow night at least )

Couldn't agree more Squid, and that's all I hope for really this season, give the guy a chance. He's been backed in a revolution in personnel (bit late! But...) and playing style so we must back him for a fair bit, whatever happens

As for AVB I've no idea if he will be great or garbage for us only time will tell but I do believe we have to give the guy a chance to prove it either way
