Apparently Huddersfield have signed Bennett, not Kyle, but Ian the former Sheff Utd keeper!!!!! Hulme on loan is good, gives a chance to see if he fits in as we said Alex.
Tom Kennedy has had his contract cancelled at Leicester, we were interested in him some time ago weren't we? Wonder if he could be the full back we need?
We already have Spurr and Husband at left back.
Why would we want a third one?
There are other positions that we would need cover for before left back.
Ian Bennett is 41 in two months.
I was hoping that we could get Hulme, he was fantastic when we last played PNE and will do a good job for us.
I agree with Alex, i would like to keep what we have right now possibly plus a couple of loan players.
With our current midfield we have ability in abundance and should be able to create loads of chances for Paynter and Brown.
As for Huddersfield, i bet their fans are gutted at losing Rhodes, it could cost them their place in the division.
I thought Kennedy could play right back for which we need cover, Hound. On VSC, Baldwin said we were after a player we had interest in some time ago, put two and two together.
Bennett was ajoke by the way, to get people stirred up about Kyle bennett.
On the subject of Kyle Bennett, the club have a big decision to make there too.
His current deal expires at the end of this season.
We have to offer him a new deal, at considerably improved pay, soon or we may have to sell him in January or run the risk of him leaving for free in May, much the same as happened with Paul Green.
ian hulme till january, not bad if he is still ok.As good as we are going to get
One for Lanzarote, No.26 will be with us for a while longer as he is on the coach to Yeovil so will not be available to sign any contracts today. The same applies to Bennett.
As Lanza said, with our situation, Hume a very good signing (if fit!).
Club has turned down a bid for Bennett.
Best bit of news so far!
Great news that 26 is with us for a while longer may be now the speculation will go away and he can do a job for us and fulfill his undoubted ability and class. But most of all it might shut Lanza up for 5 minutes HA HA ! !
Spike, does that also mean that Deano wont be available to sign any new players on.
a good 6 figure sum! turned down
drfchound, There will be more when the loan window opens including Weaver, also can still sign unattached players when the window shuts. That's it for today though.
According to sources, Copps has got off the bus and is going to Forest on a six month ploan deal.
He did get off the bus but it was at the services on the way down, well past Nottingham. He was still on the bus when it left Strensham services, Nr. Worcester.
Been told press staff at Forest have said they don't expect the club to make any signings tonight
Whitby I do like your comment Quote " fulfill his undoubted ability and class " are you saying has not yet done this already, and as you know I have never doubted his ability. With all my Tv & media work this week I will be unable to be in Whitby this weekend ,dificult when you have been on Tv so much had busy week need to spend some time with baby Lanza.
Thanks for that Spike. I was taking the info from a source on VSC. You are closer to the action than I am.
I didn't want Copps to go but when I saw Forest play the other night I could see they needed him and posted to that affect. He had to go really but the show goes on.
You should know what the VSC rumour mill is like newyankee. Have a look on Twitter and it is just as bad. If it is true it must be Copps twin brother in Yeovil.
A bit more to back up what I've told you, posted on Twitter from the media team.

Rumours about Copps going to Forest are interesting seen as he was just sat with us in the services along with the rest of the squad #drfc
