We're a pathetic club.

I may be wrong but i thought the same thing, Ayres and Rodgers left Melwood at about 8pm leaving 3hours left. That IMO does not show we tried till the death to get in the players required

Fred you're taking some pretty extreme views, which have all come about today. It seems a bit knee-jerk to me.

Fred. We finally agree, Fsg have no idea. Would love to know what br thinks

I know it's a bit knee-jerk but any Liverpool fan who isn't worried about what's happened is living in cuckoo land.

Liverpool are not, never have been and never will be, a "pathetic club" and I'm a City fan. What a stupid comment.

The scary thing is, we could have done with someone like dempsey, big Andy had gone, clint wanted to come here, yet we are still outbid on such a small amount of £6M

I agree with fred's first point

Silva

Ok maybe that comment was OTT.

Right now, the way we have conducted ourselves today and in the transfer market has been pathetic and has let down Liverpool fans majorly.

Better?

Fred's the most kneejerk supporter I know. He's like a fecking pendulum with his opinions.

Everybody knew there wouldn't be extravagant spending this window, after last season. The only disappointing thing was loaning Carroll without a replacement and I doubt Rodgers would have did that, had he known we wouldn't have got one. It's disappointing but it's over now and it's time to back the club and the players we have.

Brendan is a bastrd and so are the owners. If you're not gonna sign anyone Brendan then why the fck did you say you are? Its not nice playing with fans feelings. I'm proper peed off!!!

One of the Eds on Liverpool Rumours website has slated the owners and accused them of lying to BR about bringing in replacements for players he has allowed to leave.

It may be a load of hogwash but if he is halfway right to me that casts doubt on BRs future at the club.

I wonder what price you would get on BR resigning before the end of the season?

Frankly, I was convinced we'd sign a striker and help out "the group" as Brendan nicely calls it.

The fact that we haven't and have been left with 2 strikers is utterly ridiculous and I wasn't going to make that judgement until the window closed. I thought today I'd be proved right by FSG but I was wrong all along.

I haven't always agreed with Fred - but why is he and other reds being blasted for simply expressing his views on what IMO has been a catastrophic day for our club

its simple we cant / wont score so cant / wont win games

we will have to try and sell Spearing again next summer instead of just getting rid.

I like Caroll but if the owners / managers dont then sell him .....have we not learnt from loaning players out?

Myself, Fred, Agger will always support our club but it doesn't mean we have to be nodding dogs

Toor, £6M, for Dempsey is as far from extravagant as scousers trousers is to on time match threads

==============================

Why is it definitely the owners fault. What about Rodgers and Ayre?

Today is a huge disappointment, we've lost a good striker and replaced him with thin air. I'm pretty píssed off about it to be honest, but the comments you come out with about the club you supposedly support are pathetic.

If Brendan has been sold out and he quits then I will be joining the bring back rafa club.

posted on 1/9/12

I do think Ayre has a few questions to answer but I don't think Rodgers has done a lot wrong - just been let down by his superiors.

He stated how he wanted a striker and didn't receive the backing. The fact that Dempsey joined the potatoes for £6m is making me feel sick.

I love Brendan - think he's brilliant and will support him because of the way he handles himself but I will say one thing, this would never have happened under Rafa!

He took no crap.
