puts a lot of pressure on the lads we have up front. suarez, borini, sterling, pacheco, cole, assaidi. only suarez is proven to actually be any good. sterling looks class but he's only 17 and should not be playing every week, otherwise he'll be burnt out by the time he reaches 24 like rooney

i reckon gerrard should play on the right side of the front 3. he's not mobile enough or technically gifted enough to play in our CM these days.

on the positive side. at least now we can go out in january and sign a decent striker whilst not rushed. therefore we are more likely to get value for money and the right player for us in the long term. i do worry about us until then though

Very disappointed and surprised. Tottenham only started going after a player when either Arsenal or Liverpool were trying to sign. That is a very good scouting system. Dempsey, Sigurdsson, M'vila, Ramirez, Sahin, Adam Johnson, Sturridge and few more were Liverpool or Arsenal targets but Tottenham jumped in to spoil it for us.

Ecclleston has also left. Big risk we are now short of strikers.

We have sold/ loaned Kuyt, Maxi, Ecclleston, Carroll, Bellamy, Adam, Spearing and brought only Borini, Sahin and Allen and I don’t know where the hell Doni has gone?

I'm not happy about the fact we hav'nt signed a striker but when you look at the business we did this summer. We ent the money we had and just couldn't afford Dempsey in the end!

Arsenal on the other hand had sold Song and RVP for a combined total of £39m and could have brought in a couple of players but just didn't! They've made a profit in this window and from what I can see are just as light upfront as us and will struggle!

Arsenal have better options than we do - Podolski, Giroud, Gervinho, Walcott... even Chamakh is a better option than our backup options (can't believe some are talking about Ngoo).

We both have sham owners with hidden agenda's but we are still a fair bit behind Arsenal as you have a manager who know's how to get in the top 4, players who know how to get in the top 4. Yes i know you lost RVP and Song but the replacements are not too bad and Carzorla with a bit of luck will start to destroy teams.
