As unprofessional as Mario may appear to you, he has never undermined Mancini in the media, as Adebayour did. Along with Ireland, players like this get cast out and moved on by Mancini, which is completely understandable. However, because Mancini understands moments of passion, given that as a player he was guilty of one or two himself, he is able to forgive acts of petulance from his players in the heat of the moment; see Dzeko and Balotelli. Providing that they apologise later.

It appears that Johnson was not very good at following instruction, and many City fans have derided him for his decision making. Too often did he go for personal glory, instead of making the simple pass.

Sinclair will bring with him an already instilled hardworking team philosophy. His technique in terms of ball retention (passing and moving) is already streets ahead of Adam Johnson. Admittedly his dribbling and ball delivery are not as good, but they are developing, and are not so far behind Johnson to be significant to City.

Adam Johnson will have a successful career after City, but he is much more suited to a club that constantly need him to beat his man (and maybe the next man) in order to create chances. That is not the City philosophy today, with the team set up to keep the ball and pass their way through the opposition x

I agree with u on most points X.I think there is an uneasy truse between Mancini, some players and Tevez. You could see the way Tevez and Yaya related to each other during a free kick against pool last week.

Tevez attitude in general is strange and confusing. He plays his heart out for every side he signs for but seems to rub off team mates or coaching personnel here and there.

I still think City as a team play better without Tevez,I know some will think thats crazy but there appear to be more partnerships between players when Tevez is not involved.

By the way I watched a clip of a game between Inter and Roma years ago that finished 3-3.A certain mario played in that game and scored twice.Mario has been playing at a high level from a young age. That team still had Figo.

The thing about Tevez is that he clearly loves playing football. I think his awol last season must have been due to a number of factors (bad advice from Kia certainly), but none more so him being under a lot of stress.

I know a lot of people will say, 'I wish I had the stressful life of a Premier League footballer', but we all deal with stress in different ways, some better than others.

I think that night in Munich, rightly or wrongly, everything came to a head with Tevez, and he had a mental breakdown. Now I myself was furious with him at the time, but at the end of the day City didn't pay Tevez a penny while he was absent. Futhermore I think it is better for Tevez and possibly even City that he took that break, better that than burnout like Gazza, Maradonna and no doubt countless others.

I also find it quite sad that many people use Mancini and the club's forgiveness of Tevez as a stick to beat City with. I'm proud of the fact that we as a club are prepared to welcome back our prodigal son with open arms; rather that than a reputation like the bitter gooners who, in recent years, have a sociological hate for every player that leaves.

I would say that City are no worse with Tevez in the squad, however in the last few games they have looked a lot less fluid without Silva and Aguero. Maybe your right about Tevez and Yaya, but I'll take two players competing to take a freekick over hesitating unsure players any day x

Might I add that many arsenal fans (not all) also show that same illogical derision to players who have one bad game. There's something rotten at the emirates stadium, its just unfortunate that the players are baring the burden of a misfiring management team. No wonder so few are eager to join, and so many are desperate to leave x

Fans let their heads rule their hearts whilst managers have to be more pragmatic. I don't know anyone who wanted Tevez back but if his redemption means showing the form and desire he displayed 18 months ago then Mancini (and City) are going to be the real winners here.

The thing is Mancini has never critisised AJ and has just said he needs to improve his covering game. Thats why he played him in the pre seasons, to see if he could adapt to the new 3 CB system we will be using at times. Truth of the matter is he finds it difficult to track back and therefore would only be a sub in our system, an effect player rather than a starting player.
Mancini then said he could see why AJ wanted to leave and wished him well as he could tell he was a player who wanted/needed to play all the time. That could also have been a dig at Ade, Bridge and RSC but hey no ones perfect
