Toby

Its definitely blind something.

But they wont admit it.

They think it will make them appear disloyal, but in fact it will make them look more honest - not to mention a bit more clued up.

Sticking by someone who has proved to be clueless once, and is proving it again already, is nothing but idiotic.

redrob,

How long has Laudrup had, Steve Clarke, Houghton?

I dont buy all that "he needs time" rubbish. When you have players like Bale, who hardly touched the ball, its not a teething problem, its a manager who doesnt have a clue problem.

As ive said on another thread, we've drawn at home with West Brom & Norwich - not United & City.

I cant see us winning a single game - thats how poor it is to watch.

redrob,

Houghton hasnt been manager of Norwich for years & years, neither has Clarke of West Brom, yet they out-wit AVB away.

As i say, if it was against United with Fergie or Arsenal with Wenger i'd understand, but its new manager v new manager, and with out squad AVB should be able to look the better team at home. But we're not. He hasnt changed since failing at Chelsea, so there's no excuses to be made.

This start (performance wise) is the worst i've seen in about 6 years.

Well said Redrob

Well I dont want AVB to fail because if he does the team I love is in deep shiite but in all honesty I think its a dreadful appointment and have no faith in him at all.

All this "give him a chance" carp is just that, none of us are in a position to sack him so what you are saying to me is dont have an opinion unless its in his favour cos thats not giving him a chance.

I hope, I pray that AVB gets it right and sticks it right to me, making me look a total idiot but having a negative opinion about him makes no difference whatsoever to his performance or his decisions..

IMO I am giving him a chance, purely by not being outside WHL with protest banners so I dont know what else you expect.

Why should I wait for 10 games to say I think he is a bad choice ?

So far I have watched 3 games and we have yet to play well in any of them so am I not allowed an opinion on those 3 games and the players/tactics that were used ?

Apparently I am not if they include any negative thoughts about AVB because then I would not be "giving him a chance"

Chicken "Look at the Norwich & West Brom lin-ups, then look at ours.

If you manage that team & cannot beat them teams at home, you're out your depth."

Sorry chicken but this is a bad argument mate and you know it. Care to explain the awful performance under Harry where we lost to both Norwich at home last season? We had a much better squad than Norwich but still managed to lose and got played off the park that day. We also had an awful result away to QPR who were atrocious last season. My point being that although the results against westbrom and Norwich are bad and i will admit that they are not good and AVB needs to pull his finger out and get this sorted BUT you can't just sit there and say he is a rubbish manager purely because of these results mate, if we go by you're logic then Harry is even worse for losing to Norwich

Performance AND result Don.

That type of performance and result (and run)
was why a lot of us wanted a change from Harry. We even had a huge unbeaten run under Harry and it wasn't enough. AVB gets judged by the same criteria - what he does in the pitch, not compared to X and Y. So far, not even close to being acceptable

HRH

Agree completely, so far this season the results have not been acceptable and the performances have been well below what we should expect with the squad that we have.

Grand - all this 'give him time for his team to gel' malarkey is rubbish too - that starting XI had just two new signings, Vert and Siggy. Most teams have at least two newbies. It's just excuses really, people are sticking their fingers in their ears and going 'la-lala-lala'
