Chicken,
As I said in an article last week, he's no guardiola and we're no barca, but I recall barca losing to numancia and drawing at home to racing Santander in his first 2 league games. No manager is guaranteed to hit the ground running in a new job
Can understand the frustration fully. We've squandered so many chances to cement ourselves as a top 4 club, while having the makings of a really successful team. We may never get this opportunity again, perhaps in our lifetimes. If anything we should be more p issed off about it.
But chicken by your logic United should have sacked ferguson. We will have to wait and see with AVB. Now isnt the time to be calling out his supporters. We have only played 3 fecking games mate.
Lion
Its not just the results, its the performances. About 60 mins went by without one chance.
Who plays 2 holding midfielders against teams like Norwich & West Brom at home?
A clueless manager, thats who.
AVB was a proven failure at Chelsea, so i dont even know why people are putting it down to some kind of freak start.
He's out his depth, and i hope he's sacked sooner rather than later.
There are no poistives.
Really don't see how AVB cops any blame in this TBH. I think it's clear he wanted moutinho to fill the creative void modric would eventually vacate to make the system work. We all know levy isn't the one who does the buying and selling, so while we all know the situation regarding the stadium etc he's not the one to point the finger at if it's the blame game people want to play...

So squad v squad, you think us & Norwich are equal?
Give it a rest. We should be winning against Norwich and WBA at home regardless of the manager. Fans have every right to have the hump. We shouldn't accept poor performances and results. We want what's best for the club.
Chicken,
We obviously have a better squad, but surely you've watched enough football in your lifetime to know it doesn't always work like that? Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly doing cartwheels as a result of our season so far but it's a bit early for the witch-hunt isn't it?

What?
I'm sorry, but this is no time to be making excuses or feeling sorry for someone. Its time people on here recognised their judgement has been ridiculously wrong, to stand up & admit it.
Lets not go down the road of "Ahhh stop picking on him" stuff.
This is as bad as its been since 2006ish - lets not make out its a spot of bad luck. Especially as the names i've mentioned on the article were all blaming the previous manager for poor results & would never accept "its a football thing". Its good to be loyal but its better to be consistent & realistic.
This is relegation form - the quicker we accept it, the better.
So because we have a better squad than most does that mean that if/when man city beat us we all just say "oh well, can't complain as they're better than us" does it?
Lion,
No. And i dont even need to elabroate why.
But AVB has had THREE competitive games as our boss, and we're gonna judge him on that? Seriously

This sort of comment really annoys me
How many games had the manager of West Brom had in charge before they came and made us look like mugs ?
How many games has the manager of Norwich had before they came and made us look like mugs ?
The same amount as AVB thats how many !!!!!!!!!
Unless of course you take in to consideration an extra game each against lower league opposition in the league cup
Funny dont you think that supposedly virtualyl novice managers can get off to a decent start where our master tactician cant even get off to a reasonable start.
Come on excuses merchants, please explain to me how two new managers without the quality of the players we have at Spurs can come and make us look like total muppets at our own ground ?
grand,
I've tried to explain this too. They could use this excuse versus Wengr or Fergie - but it holds no weight against Houghton or Clarke.
They'll still claim they were right about AVB if we avoid relegation by a point.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh give the poor man a chance.
Pathetic.
chicken
I know how you feel and when we sign Titus Bramble there will still be people on here saying "get behind him" and "give him a chance"
I notice so far nobody has attempted to answer the question tho
