Sad to say but the general gist of the OP is spot on

Desperate state of affairs.

For the first time in decades MUFC have one of the worst GKs in the top flight of the English league.

Cech, Hart and Reina have made far worse mistakes than anything De Gea has done throughout his career in England.

Where are the articles mocking them?

Strange prediction to make.

virtually every keeper in the premier league has made a bad error this season. Hart is a good keeper but he is definitely error prone and hasnt improved at all in the last two years. I think now as good as he is, this is as good as he will ever be.
De Gea on the other hand was out of his depth when he first came to England but has improved enormously and continues to do so. He probably has more natural ability than any other keeper in England. The weaknesses in his game, dealing with crosses and commanding his area can be improved by coaching and experience and United are working very hard on this and it will lead to further improvement. Lindegard is also a very good keeper and I would say in terms of strength in depth we are very strong in the goalkeeping department looking medium to long term.
