Keep away fae the Scotsman this morning anaw. Tom English, normally a well observed journo, has written a bhitter wee rant at the lad.
... Whit Phanny
Good player, but It's a real lack of ambition for the lad wanting to play in the diddy 4th tier against a bunch of students & farmers.
Will be around 30 by the time he gets to play in Europe again, must not have enjoyed Anfield that much. Not good enough for the Champions anyway, so not at all bothered.

At the end of the day Gaz Rangers were voted to that Div still the same team, support and desire to play for them so don't blame Templeton.
He's 23
He's investing in his future
He realises Rangers will be in the SPL in a few years
When they return he will be playing champions league football and winning league medals for all 4 divisions
Personally, I think the las has been very shrewd and realised at 23, his future isn't just about the next 2/3 years alone but the catalyst to an even better career by switching to Rangers and reaping the rewards in a few years. That's foresight and not the short-termism we so often criticise
Hell win nothing at hearts. At Rangers hell play at some of the best facilities in the world in front of 50,000 every other week. Win league medals in all 4 divisions, perhaps a few cups and regular European football. As we get into the 1st in a year or two hell get caps also.
Let's commend him. Because people criticised the likes of Goodwillie and others for going to the SPL and warming a bench.
Cam:
You'd think after the delight of scoring at Anfield on a huge European night for his club, that he'd be off his rocker to agree to a 5+ year exile of European football the very next day, and to play against guys on £20 a week.
I suppose if he was to leave Hearts he'd just end up at a backwater Championship club.
Wha I don't get us why so many of rage are venting anger at this young lad!
Rangers were the ONLY team to bid for him. Every other Kant eas trying to get him on a free. When we did that we were lambasted for getting players from
Rivals on the cheap and denying rivals money
A few days ago they were labeling this guy one of the countries top prospects.
Now he's labelled as a trouble maker with a bad attitude
Shocking journalism by some very media men of a certain persuasion

Ffs the bitter Bhoys Huv been up early tae vent their spleen in the forums anaw?
Why are they gettin so worked up? What's it got to with them ? Templetons transfers affects them in no way whatsoever
Guess they must just hate us more than they love their own
Morning lads

It always makes me laugh when people get this worked up about football. A lot of these sad people must have nothing in their lives, or quite simply not have had a reality check about the priorities in life. Unfortunately the vast amount of the people who comment are kids with nothing better to do.
At the moment, Scotland is something else. The hatred and vile comments I have read about Rangers over the past few months really do show an unparalleled amount of completely non sporting related hatred. I've lived in other countries and seen nothing to compare to this.
The fact that so called mature and intelligent journalists are now engaging in this sort of behaviour just makes me embarrassed for Scotland as a nation.

Well said. Couldn't agree more
A fine young scottish talent decides to drop down to the pub league rather than try his luck down south, ruling out any chance of an international call-up or the opportunity to test himself against a better class of defender...But according to the bitter berrz this is not worthy of comment.
As long as it deflect attention away from the goat you have as a manager eh!!!
By the way Esc - Rangers to win and McCulloch anytime scorer is 2-1 at Willie Hills. I think I'm taking that on.
McCulloch to score @ 2/1? I don't think that's value, unless he is playing as a striker these days in the 4th tier?
I remember against Peterhead last season we had 9 players odds-on to score anytime
