We're in for a disappointing season if we can't beat this Arsenal side at Anfield. I think this is their weakest in a long time, yet they still look miles better than us.

Who was it that mentioned getting Michael Owen back, Mr Jamie Redknapp?

Hope Borini is played more in the middle, Gerrard is in his last season at Liverpool if he doesn't sort his sht out.

Brendan's tactics are superb. We just don't have the players to pull it off.

lads...
we havent scored from open play in the premiership now in 225 minutes of premiership football...........

that is a serious statistic ...................

we must be the only club in the premiership who havent scored from open play

Johnson should have done much better for that goal

Very worrying first half.

I hate to say it but we could really use Carroll right now, if anything just to hold the ball up. We are being outmuscled.

Suarez needs to just play it simple and relax. He has so much quality but needs to stay calm.

Anyone else slightly confused by our performance in that half..again not too bad but it's the penetration that we sort of lack in that final third

It was the same and the same every time we play them at Anfield. I just can't see us scoring. They will probably score another goal. We won't get anything from the game nor from Webb.

It doesn't matter.
Arsenal are always dangerous to score open football against. Especially when you keep giving away the ball..

I predicted an Arsenal win and still do

can't wait for january! i'd gladly sell suarez. he just doesn't fit into this system. he over complicates things!

I don't think Carrol holds the ball up that well, more often than not he runs into a pass and it ends up 20 feet in front of him.

Hey guys, not here to WUM

Sterling and Allen look like top players for you

Fab- Podolski, Cazorla and Diaby look great for you, not to sure about Giroud yet.

Reincarnated "Brendan's tactics are superb. We just don't have the players to pull it off."
Thats why we have to hope the owners stick it out with BR, let him buy who he wants at the end of this season. Then we'll see.

Oh shut up philo, you'll be waxing lyrical about Suarez with one moment of magic.

posted on 2/9/12

Exactly Zabi they'll keep hitting us on the counter and score a sh!tty goal while we fail to finish of our chances

suarez is the issue. the ball doesn't stick when we play into feet.
-------------------------------------------
Suarez in the centre has always been an issue and it's about time people realise it.

Giroud looks slow.

Philo - Suarez is made for this system, looks very dangerous

nope if we continue to play him in the centre of the forward 3, we will not score many goals. if your going to play him in this formation, he has to play wide

posted on 2/9/12

I agree Suarez in made for this system but not in that position.

saurez is terrible in this system. the central strikers job is to hold the ball up, lay it off and get into the box. suarez neve does any of that

Cut out being sloppy and we may win, carry on and we will concede more....football is simple

Borini has been in Gibbs pocket. I can't believe I'm saying that

I think Suarez would score more from wide (either side) than he would from the middle.
