I am not completely blaming Liverpool but had he played in the first two games then it wouldn't have happened.
Maf,
But you're admitting he wasn't fit enough to play then?
Carrol was fit enough to play, as was evidenced by his performance.
He got the tweak overextending his leg when he was falling awkwardly after challenging Hangeland.
Just one of those things.
(xiv) Long Term Loan Transfers shall be for (i) a Season, or (ii) from any time prior to 5pm on the last day of the First Window for the remainder of the Season.
(xv) A Player on long term loan may not be recalled except for a goalkeeper or where the Player is to be transferred permanently by the Club holding her registered contract. A Player other than a goalkeeper so recalled cannot be permitted to play for the Club holding her registration after such recall until the end of the Season. Players so recalled can only be replaced by a further long term loan with permission from the Management Committee.
Tomkins: What you say makes perfect sense. However, if the manager of Liverpool says he can recall Carroll in January, then he must know what he's talking about. Otherwise, he risks seriously undermining his credibility.
If we can sign Carroll permanently, that would be absolutely fantastic for West Ham!
This was from page 196 of the FA rulebook, i should have mentioned!
I think Rodgers is struggling already
I read in the paper today that Sullivan has already got his lawyers on standby, as he is convinced its West Ham's decision whether they keep him longer - not Liverpool's.
This could get messy. In West Ham's favour, i cant see it ever getting to court by January so i dont know how this will pan out.

Those rules refer to the Women's Super League.
There's nothing in the PL rules about this.
So it does i missed that.
I read it from somewhere else that it was page 196

Sad to see he is out for 6 weeks..
Let's hope he will be fit for Stoke game and bang on form for Tottenham game.
Step in Maiga..
Upto six weeks is what they are saying, lets hope it's less.
He is a young and fit man, let's hope he'll be back for C.iteh game.<pray>
It's just typical West Ham luck! But what's really annoying is that the games he'll miss are ones which we are targeting to win i.e. Norwich, Sunderland, QPR, Wigan.
Not much point coming back just when we have to play the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea.
Well we will just have to win without him and it will be all the sweeter when we do.
Time for Rob Hall to step up along with Maiga, although I'm afraid Cole will get the first chance. Maybe he will play as well as I believe he has in him, I doubt it, but he might.

Can they cancel AC's loan spell?
