give him time he will make a great team
He's honest and does not try to avoid responsibility which is admirable. He's also being politically astute avoiding dwelling on the recent transfer window pantomime.
That said, he knows the track record, he'll be fighting to retain his job if this poor performance continues.
BR has been through it all before, when he started at the other clubs he suffered defeats, but he knows stick with the system teach the philosophy and gain the "hard yards" as he puts it (thats manage speak for defeats btw) and we will be better than very good.
Its us..the fans that need to be patient, and i mean PATIENT; that could mean lose to Sunderland, lose to Utd as well....are you ready for that??
Every time he puts players on the pitch I lose confidence.
Sorry, the results don't lie.
But as long as he keeps your bed warm I'm sure you'll make a great couple.
And besides I don't want empty words or gestures I want action!
Get rid of that lousy ticktock system and maybe we'll get somewhere.
Whatever Wishi...ao Allen, Sahin and playing Sterling are not good moves??
Rather try supporting the club when it has hard times than knock it; no one likes it when we lose but some suppporters forget the definition of support.
To think that they were the same team I saw playing live last Sunday. Shambolic. While I sympathise with wishi, time to take a breath, step back, give him/them time and support them. jimmyTheRed
Don't you dare criticise me, Got_Better, you've done your fair share of moaning.
Allen and Sterling are the only positives, Sahin was quiet today but then I'm willing to put that down to his first game.
And don't come back with the classic retort 'support your team and go and support City' crp, either. I'm entitled to be unhappy at the current state of affairs because I am unhappy, I make no apology for it.
Wishi....what makes u so high and mighty ur above criticsm? And too right i will be critical if i dont agree with fans or the club.
You dont know how lucky ur to be a LFC supporter btw!!
Wishi is probably the most ridiculous poster on this board.
Mood swings like a menopausal woman.
To me, this is a hugely different situation to Hodgeson. It was obvious that under Roy, we weren't going to get better. He had his system that was good at getting the best out of limited sides with no real attempt to control a game.
Rodgers is clearly trying to build a system here, and it is obvious that it will get better, given time. The issue is will he be given the time?
People saying that we net to get rid of Tiki taka is ludicrous. As much as the phrase annoys me, it is clear that possession football is the way the game is progressing, and as showed in the Euros, if we don't adapt in this country, we will get left behind.
I expect people saying to get rid of Rodger's system are the same people gushing over Barcelona and Spain
We need to stick to the BR's system, it may be heart breaking and lousy like today but eventually............(its now 34yrs as a Liverpool fan ..22 frustrating years).....it will come good! Hope, hope and only hope! Cry my beloved club!
The additions made by the club are obvious improvements on what we had. Sadly we got a horrible fixture list to start the season with. BR obviously wanted a striker and he was promised one but that never happened so don't blame him.
People like Wishi need to accept that we are going to struggle along the way to becoming a better team.

Fred, i think wishi is a bird.
If you are wishi, out for the lads!!!!!
I can't bear the negativity from some of the posters on here.
Shortsighted, knee-jerking, unrealistic, schizophrenics.
Absolutely pathetic.
And back on topic, he handles himself extremely well in press conferences and reaffirms my faith in him and his project.
We cannot blame the fixture list!
Fact of the matter is the manager can say all he wants but this is a results business. He needs to start getting points on the table. If that means giving up his philosophy then so be it. Points make prizes remember!

Yes let's lose the philosophy we've been working on. We all lose a short term fix to a long term problem
I'm not saying lose it altogether. I'm just saying having a Plan B. A more direct aggressive route-1 style that gives us the chance to win games and collect points!
Fred, that's one of the best usernames on here.
3 games in and already I have seen "fans" calling him "useless" , "clueless" "out of his depth" etc. Now we have to give up on his philosophy after three games. Makes my head hurt
I've just said don't give up on it. Just a smash and grab direct game to see if it's more fruitful in terms of goals and points?!

I've accepted we're going to struggle because we are struggling, I can see it for myself. We won't get any better, though.
